Eating outside by the water on a beautiful day was great. The place was understaffed and we had to clean our own table. The whole belly clams were good and reasonably priced but running out of ketchup to go with the fries (more fries than clams on the plate) is not acceptable. Especially around 5ish on a Sunday of a holiday weekend.

We took a trip to Shanks with our pup because of their dog friendly enviornment, which is a wonderful feature from the business! However, upon seating ourselves and awaiting our meal, we noticed some confusion in the staff and in presenting service. A wind gust actually caused our tables umbrella to fly right up out of its stand nearly wacking us in our faces and fling across another couples table and off onto the stairs below. The staff did not react effectively for some time. When the food arrived we were underwhelmed as to the 8oz lobster roll we ordered. It arrived soggy and appeared to be resting on an un toasted bun, that then was over flowing onto the plate. Our coconut shrimp was good, however the shrimps quality in size also was underwhelming. Shanks has great location, scenery and quaint New England asthetic overall, they are dog friendly and a lovely overall eatery however, I hope to see some improvements in the premium seafood sector considering reputation, market cost and advertisements impact on expectations for the consumer.

The lobster nachos were WAY beyond what I expected!!! Plenty of fresh lobster and the salsa was fresh and flavorful. The portion size was a LOT! I had to take some home. Shrimp tacos were good. I don’t know if there was other seating options that I missed, but it was kinda limited under the tent. Staff is super friendly and fast.

Ordered lobster rolls 2 at $50 a pop was disappointed. The roll was soaked in butter. The chip fries were soaking in grease. Cold corn on the cob had to send it back. If you like soaking bead and cold corn be my guest. Can't recomnend.

This place is literally the definition of dockside seafood. It was delicious and not heavy and oily. The atmosphere was awesome and waitstaff was super attentive. Just a reminder that it is BYOB. But the do have soft drinks.

All the workers were very kind! The food also came out really quickly after ordering. Dining is outside by the water, which is nice too! The food was okay. Wasn’t great, wasn’t horrible. My friends felt the same as well! If you’re looking for seafood here, I’d say try it at least once.

Well, this is a nice place but the day I went food was not the best and for the price😬 I got lobster nachos and the nachos was burn and tested real burn very disappointed because I went especially for that plate. 🦞 rolls was ok, sodas extra hot bearly any ice and no utensils and service 3out of 10.

The pictures is not what you are going to get. My family and I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. We was better off going to McDonald's. We would definitely not be going back. The food was cold the clam strip looked and tasted like it was old. The shrimp was under cooked. The coleslaw tasted liked it came straight out the ocean. I never tasted something so disgusting.
