Great location on beautiful grounds, and the selection of house-made offerings is quite nice. I'd love to see it expanded with some local distillery options, along with a few mocktail and cocktail choices. The food truck is a great addition — it would be even better with a menu paired to complement what they produce.

Good beer. Affordable live music. Large lawn with picnic tables. Nice place to enjoy your beer and some tunes!!

Went there for father's day. About as laid back as you can get. Mello crowd on the lawn with an equally mello musician. Various beers to choose from and cocktails as well.

This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I tried beers from Hop Culture in bars a couple years ago, but this was my first visit to the brewery.

Like many other farm breweries, Hop Culture stands on a separate chunk of land with its own buildings. There's plenty of parking available, but the road is unpaved, so conditions may vary. The indoors consist of one small room with several tables. Most probably, the focus is on the outdoors area where I saw many tables, but they can only be used in a warmer weather. There's no food inside except snacks and I haven't seen any food trucks. Instead, there were ads for available food delivery services. There was a small stage crammed in the corner of the room and a concert going on.

There were 6 beers available during my visit with one of them being a can pour. No flights are available, but you can order short pours. For this review, I tried all of them. Generally, the beers were ok - not great, not bad, safe styles, small selection. The only one I truly enjoyed was Knockin' Boots (Stout), as it had a very rich Peanut Butter taste. This contradicts my previous experience, as I remember the beers I purchased in the bars long time ago to be better. A couple of cocktails were available to order - we ordered one, but I can't say anything special about it.

This is an ok place if you want space to hang out with your friends in a rural setting. If you plan to go here, better go when it's warm. If you only plan to visit for the beers, then there are better places around.

Ordered a gift card as a Christmas gift and it still has yet to arrive. Today is January 6th. Company is unresponsive to emails trying to resolve the situation. Next step: small claims court.

Update: The gift card finally arrived on January 10th, more than three weeks late. And it arrived with a large crack straight through the middle of it. Yet the envelope was undamaged. Seems that someone purposefully sent me a broken gift card possibly because I was holding them accountable for their screw up. And only every other email has earned a response from them.

Can't speak to their beers, but it's absolute monkey business behind the scenes.

Great small, local spot! Outdoor space is beautiful in the warm weather and the indoor area is cozy during the colder weather! Great beer with variety too!

Great venue for music and excellent beer.

The beer is great, the venue is beautiful, and the vibe is outstanding! Whether you’re there on St. Patrick’s Day hearing an electric bagpiper or strolling barefoot through the softest grass imaginable during a Max Creek show, it doesn’t get any better than this 🙂

Awesome family friendly, dog friendly brewery. Great food trucks but food is also allowed (when they are not having a big event). Great beer, special mixed drink menu, wine, cider, non alcoholic choices, and 2 slushy choices ( with or with out alcoholic)! We love it there!

Beautiful spot - nice place for families and live music. Really enjoyed the vibe. Went for the anniversary party - congrats on 6 years. Biggest downfall is $8.50 for 12oz pours. I don’t know the business side of it and maybe I’m just out of touch with going to breweries these days but that’s a steep price. I’d also suggest that the beertenders/menus list what hops are in each NEIPA… there were about 4 on tap yesterday and zero description. Some hop heads enjoy C’s, single hops, or southern hemisphere goodness. When I’m paying $8.50 for a 12oz and there’s no description it’s a bit frustrating. Here’s to 6 more! Nice venue and tables too.
