The Cornwall Market (located in Cornwall Bridge, CT) is a wonderful culinary destination that feels like a blend of a high-end bistro and a classic New England country store. It’s a standout stop for locals and travelers alike, especially those exploring the Litchfield Hills. Loved the baked goods, breakfast sandwiches and particularly enjoyed the apple galette.

I've read some past reviews that say it's expensive. Been to McDonald's lately?? For the same price or maybe less you get REAL food. I'm in my 60's and one of my favorite sandwiches is Italian combo. I've had them everywhere in CT. Their sandwich is flavor perfection. It's not stuffed full with ½lb of meat and there is no need for it to be. No oil and vinegar or hot sauce or onions or mayo and yet it's one of the best if not THE best combo I've ever had. The focaccia is airy perfection with a very light coat of quality olive oil and possibly a sprinkle of salt. The meats are quality for sure because they still stand out against the tapenade and the thin slice of pecorino(brilliant). I swear mine had fresh basil on it but I think Arugala is the norm(I suggest some basil leaves). That's it, 6 high quality ingredients made a lasting impression on a lifelong Italian cook and extream foodie. Don't change a thing! (except the inclusion of basil:)

Wife and I stopped here while house hunting and found this gem of an establishment. As other reviews have mentioned, their bread is superb and made our sandwiches all the more delicious!

Great food, great coffee. You’ve gotta get the breakfast burrito. I’ve had many a breakfast burrito in my life but this monstrous girthy beast takes the cake 😎

Ridiculously overpriced, mediocre food. Over 8 dollars for a sad croissant. The barista couldn’t be bothered to heat the milk for my coffee past lukewarm. The bread in their sandwich was so cold and soggy it fell apart as I ate it. I’m sad places like this are still in business, ripping people off.

Cold and overpriced. Nothing warm and inviting about this place anymore and my soup tasted like straight chicken stock and it was not cheap in price. The previous deli that was there did food and service much better…too bad they ruined that

Grabbed a foccasia turkey sandwich on my way to a fishing outing. I didn't have great luck fishing, but loved the sandwich. I will definitely make it a point to visit the market when I'm the area for breakfast or lunch.

This was my first visit, and I was looking forward to having a bite to eat, but I was immediately disappointed when I saw the price of the banana bread ($19 for a mini loaf). However, I moved forward anyway and thought I’d get a bagel. Placed my order for a toasted bagel with cream cheese, and then was told they had turned the toaster off and therefore couldn’t get a toasted bagel. I left. Please tell me…how hard is it to turn a toaster on?

Lovely spot. I got a quick cinnamon hazelnut latte and a vegan granola bar, which was absolutely delicious for under $13.

Don't be fooled, their kitchen closes an hour before they actually close. And they close 2 hours earlier than their website says. The takeaway prepared foods were small portions for too much $$.
