This is an amazing and historic staple of the community. It's where my parents met in the 80's, and holds a special place in my heart. I've since left CT 15 years ago, but visit it every time I go up north to visit. It is my favorite bar in the whole entire world, and I consider it my "Home Bar" even though I'm 700 miles away. It's an absolute American Treasure as far as I'm concerned. I've watched many many many Patriots games there, and some of the best times I've ever had were right inside of those hallowed walls, on top of it's sacred grounds.

I was JUST in CT in April (2024), and went to the Trivia Night with my wife on April 18th. It was my first time bringing her there, and was a big deal for me personally for a multitude of reasons (ya know, woman I love + place I love, etc etc). We were trying to use the trivia app, and it wasn't working on either of our phones. So the Trivia host (I forget his name, but it was a short name like "Paul" or "Stu", something like that) without a second-thought was gracious enough to lend us his personal iPhone for the duration of our time there. A YANKEE had met TWO COMPLETE STRANGERS and extended a level of hospitality uncommon to the entire geographical region. The atmosphere that night was amazing, the service was great. Bar staff was very attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better time there!

The ONLY piece of constructive feedback I have is............ WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY a $15 GOT-DANG cover ANY TIME before 10:00 p.m.? I really don't understand that.

But yeah, American Treasure, MUST be preserved at all costs! Amazing place, staple of the community where so much life has been lived at.

Having to pay a cover to go to a empty bar before 7pm in Cromwell ConnecticutLet’s do the math, I would have spent at least $30 on food and drinks, but instead they insist on charging a $15 cover which I will never pay to go to a bar in Cromwell Connecticut.Great business decision

Albrie is the best waitress around. She has another drink ready before your ask. Very attentive and bubbly personality. Always makes me and my family welcome. Come check her out

I'm the owner of a semi-pro football team out of New Britain Connecticut call the Golden Lions. And every Saturday after our home game we always had to Chicago's and let me tell you the staff are very accommodating and great people all the way around. The waitresses are very polite and always tend to the needs of our team and the manager Casey is great!!!! Front door staff greet us with smiles This is definitely a place we like to go and hang out and we will continue to bring our business and much more as time comes!!!!

The best all around sports bar and live dance/rock music band and dancing place in central Hartford area. They have good people working there. Bartenders, servers and security are all VERY friendly and cool. No problems like fights because the manger really knows how to keep the place safe, clean and fun. Girls can go out here alone or with friends and wear blue jeans or dresses and never get hassled or feel unsafe. Good date place with special nights for trivia and kareoke mid week. All kinds of sports in the bar so any big game will be on several TVs. The sound system for live bands is really impressive. Not screeching like some bars. Lots of safe parking in the commercial lot and no breaking in cars issues so far.

I’ve been to Chicago Sam’s a bunch of times over the years, usually to hear a band. It’s always a good time with tasty treats, drinks and the crowd is diverse and interesting. A night at Chicago Sam’s can be anything you’d like it to be! One time we got this giant tray of nachos and ate it all night and danced and it was a blast.

Went there to see Derek and the Funbags, our waitress was non-existant and had to be flagged to get refills. The water had a soapy taste and the appetizers made us ill. We won't be back soon.

Worst customer service skills ever here , especially our server Brianna H. She’s something else , constantly ignored us, rolled her eyes from the beginning , no napkins , no refills . Just a miserable employee overall smh .
