Cafe on the Green is a neighborhood gem. Food service ambiance always great. It's too bad that more folks have not discovered this great restaurant.

This is our favorite restaurant in the Danbury area. The food is always delicious, the service great and the ambiance delightful.

I have heard about this place for years. Honestly thought it was going to be more special. The golfers relaxing in the bar were enjoying themselves 6:00-7:30. I found their chatter loud. The food was okay but nothing to really write home about. I know it is popular with locals but doubt I will go back. View of the golf course rather normal.

Lovely lunch spot looking over the golf course. Service was excellent and we were not rushed to order.

Listen here. Went there a couple days ago. Service wasn’t that bad, but our waiter did not follow up our water when we asked and was nice at the end. Now, my food. I ordered the vodka hot honey chicken parm. Patty was practically raw and tasted like a soft mushy paste. “Garlic bread” tasted like a hard cover book. Fries were crispy and not terrible. We started with the nachos and our waiter told us it would come with a regular meat sauce. It came with a bean paste which looked nasty. Not coming back

The food and service are excellent. Great views of the golf course, the dining room is quiet so you can hear the conversation at your table. High recommend.

It was a rainy night and there was only one other table occupied so the service was on point. The menu prices were higher than shown on line particularly the glasses of wine. My veal and lobster dish was only ok as was my son's chicken dish. My granddaughter liked her salmon special I was there last year and ate on the patio that had a different menu. I will only go back for patio dining

We had not been to Cafe on the Green in a while, so we decided to go. First - the same great decor, excellent service, and really good food. My wife had a filet cooked perfectly and I had my favorite Veal Paradiso. We enjoyed an expertly prepared cocktail with delicious bread delivered to the table. A generous garden salad came with the meal. We splurged on desert with coffees and shared a carrot cake. All in al, an excellent meal. 2 things surprised us: 1) Yes, it is a rainy damp Friday evening of Mother's day weekend, but no one was there. 4 people in the dining room at 7PM; 2) During dinner a family was bringing in supplies for a children's party planned for Saturday morning walking through the dining room. A small annoyance - but surprising none the less. We will keep going back as we have for 20 years. It's worth it!

We love going to Cafe on the Green. The views are amazing. The service is impeccable. The wine selection is sensational. And the food is mouthwatering.
