I love carvel ice cream but this is the second time the older employee was rude to me. I asked for a peanut butter dasher and a brownie dasher and he yelled at me saying “one at a time”. The place was empty and clearly it’s the customer service! If you’re in the Danbury area I would go to Dairy Queen instead.

The employee there was incredibly rude and wouldn't provide a sample. To be cautious, I settled for strawberry ice cream. He didn't even disclose the ingredients. I simply wanted to taste a sample because I dislike nuts in my ice cream. Sadly, the quality of the ice cream was disappointing; it was old with small ice cubes in the strawberry flavor. We also tried butter pecan, which contained undissolved milk powder. It's the worst ice cream shop I've ever been to.

The owner was extremely polite, he made a mistake and started to apologize I told him that it was not a problem and he gave me a little bit extra for being so understanding. The service was fast and the building was clean. Definitely coming back again.

If I could give negative stars I would. The old guy who works there at first told me they don’t do samples and then begrudgingly got a sample spoon for me. I got a strawberry milkshake which I remember getting here as a teen, back then it tasted good. I got another one today and watched as the guy put frozen strawberries into a cup, filled the rest with milk and blended it. No ice cream in it at all. He didn’t fill the entire cup either. I questioned him on the shake to which he said it was a milkshake. Milk and frozen strawberries in a cup is not a milkshake, milkshakes have ice cream and milk. This was a cold strawberry milk, which isn’t what I asked for.Give this one a miss and go to the new Milford carvel instead where they do things properly. I also would recommend literally anywhere’s else for ice cream, where the owner likely isn’t a crabby old man messing up orders on purpose.

My wife a carvels soft serve cone and they did not disappoint. The price has gone way up over the years ($5.75 for a large cone) but it was as tasty as ever.

You must be kidding me. Do not waste ypur money...go anywhere else!!! We ordered a fudgy the whale for Fathers Day. Every year we do this. This year moving to New Fairfield we used Carvel in Danbury. Dont waste youre money. Everyone is just a mess. I will post pictures to show you. I thought it was a.joke.I believe Carl is the owner and he is terrible. Not only charged us for the cake but made us pay the 2 dollars more after we showed Carl the cake. He could of cared less. We got the other cake and paid more. We are so disappointed. I highly recommend not using this mess of a business.

My son wanted icecream today. I went in there with my son and my service dog. The older gentleman told me I can't be in there with my service dog. Meanwhile my service dog had her vest on with her service leash and me wearing the badge around my neck. I then explain to him she is a service dog he still insisted to have me leave. Connecticut law gives people with certain disabilities the right to take bring their service animals anywhere.
