Phenomenal pizza.
Stopped in here after a meeting in the area last week with a few of my colleagues.
This place came highly recommended and I can see why. Delicious.

The sauce and cheese are amazing. But, while I'm enjoying that fresh tomato and cheese taste it is overwhelmed with burnt crust flavor. I mean if you like the char no problem but personally this was not satisfying for me. Thank you so much!

I heard so much about this pizzeria! I had to try it- it was just ok. Cheese had slid off to one side of the pie(we ate inside- no reason for that) Kinda oily. Definitely was not the best I ever had..Service was so so...

Quick hot fresh pizza just what hits the spot. I order the tomato pie with mushrooms on it. A medium pie can feed
2 people no problem.

Really enjoy Frank Pepe’s. The food and service is always great! My only critique is that I really appreciate a good savory red sauce as a pizza base. I think they make their own from crushed tomatoes, which is awesome, and I commend them for that. However, it’s a little “plain” for my taste.
That said, I love the atmosphere and the staff. Love the flawless, fast turnaround. These guys are running a fine tuned machine and it’s always busy, so you know it’s good!!

Frank Pepe’s never disappoints. The pizza here is as good as the original in New Haven. Complete mastery of pizza-making—the pies are perfect every time. Salads are good too!

Cheddar cheese on a pizza- disgusting

This is probably the most overrated pizza parlor in the region. We have now tried them three times and each time there were considerable problems. Today was the last time! We ordered a large plain cheese pizza. The crust was uneven and in some spots so thin, the slices collapsed. By now, from a pizza place that has been around so long you would expect better consistency. Not only that, but the slices were cut so totally unevenly, with no symmetry, that some were 1.5 inches wide at the top and some 5 inches. There were not two slices in the pie of the same size. That may seem like a minor thing, but when you are sharing a pizza with multiple people, you want the slices to be relatively the same size. There was hardly any tomato sauce on all three pizzas, and the little that was on it was distributed unevenly. All of us who shared the pizza agreed that it was way below par. Here in New York people have minimum standards when it comes to pizza and they fell way short. Each time portions of the pizza were burnt charcoal black, essentially uneatable. Fame and history only goes so far. To me this looks like people working with carelessness and sloppiness. Certainly not with pride in their famous name. A big disappointment.
