I am a regular here and this place is truly special đ© The owner and the entire staff are consistently warm welcoming and all smiles which makes every visit a pleasure. Everything is always fresh and absolutely delicious. The donuts are fluffy decadent and honestly to die for easily the best donuts I have ever had! My kids look forward to coming here every weekend and it has become a favorite family tradition. There is such a genuine kindness and warmth in this shop that you feel the moment you walk in. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Walked in for a pickup order on Sunday around 11:30 and had one of the strangest customer service experiences Iâve had in Danbury. I told the blonde worker at the front that I was here for a pickup and she immediately stopped taking orders and started cleaning cups and machines instead of even acknowledging me. I thought maybe she didnât hear me until her male coworker stepped in, asked for the name, and pointed me to a random box sitting off to the side with no signs and no pickup area. The whole interaction felt awkward and unprofessional.
The line was a little long, so I get that it was busy, but basic acknowledgment is not complicated. This is exactly why I usually save my money and make lattes at home or drive to Norwalk or Stamford when I want good coffee or an actual sweet treat. Danbury spots rely on college kids with weak customer service and it shows every time.
The donuts are also just okay. More like dense cake than a real donut. Brooklyn Bakery in Waterbury is on a completely different level. The maple bacon here was decent, but not worth dealing with this kind of service for a mid product.
Honestly, if Brooklyn Bakery ever opened in Danbury, this place is cooked.

I visited Grounds Donut House while working in the area â because who doesnât love discovering a new donut spot?
They had a carrot cake donut, and I was instantly a fan. Later, while planning our wedding, we knew we didnât want a traditional cake or the usual desserts. Thankfully, after a quick phone call, they were happy to cater our wedding with an incredible variety of donuts â our friends still talk about it!
The best part was the huge mega carrot cake donut they made as our wedding cake.
Weâre not local, but we make it a point to stop by every time weâre in the area.

Amazing! Donut perfection. Visited for specialties this Fall and got Pumpkin Chai, London Fog, Maple Ginger, and Caramel Apple (in order of faves). Each amazing in their own right. The most astonishing part is how light and fluffy they are. Never had a donut so fresh tasting and light. Flavors are phenomenal. Shop is very cool inside. The gent behind the counter was super cool, personable, friendly, and helpful. Excellent first impression. Went early morning on a Saturday and was pretty quiet inside. And guessing this is the original. Went to Brewster loc the other day which is a great shop too, but didnât have the full selection that Danbury does. Highly highly recommend. Do not miss this experience.

I guess the focus is on donuts. They do have good espresso machines but only saw take out paper cups. Not a classy sit down good coffee experience type of place

A high end donut shop ($4+ per donut) that has about 10 flavors of donut at any 1 time. The donut itself is about medium thickness, and all the toppings are quite good (coffee cake and blueberry were stand outs). The mini donuts tasted sort of stale in comparison even though they looked good. Coffee is a 3/5 medium roast, perfectly fine, but not great. Seating space is really nice if not exactly cozy.

We tried 6 different flavors and were not disappointed. Delicious, light, fresh and not overly sweet. What a treat.
