This place is a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We started off with their chips and salsa, and let me tell you, the salsa was incredible! Fresh, flavorful, and with just the right amount of spice. They have spicier if you are a lover of spices as I am. The service was top-notch. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and always available to answer our questions. They made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our entire dining experience. Overall, this is a fantastic restaurant that serves delicious and authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back soon and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Mexican dining experience!

Very slow service! We went here on a Sunday night when they weren't very busy and it took an hour to get our food. My order was cold and I had to send it back. When it was all said and done the food was good, but it's just not worth the hassle given the extremely slow service.

The entrance has community feel, ambience. It's the heart of Danbury meaning the locals definitely come here. The paintings on the walls are gorgeous. The meaning behind this particular painting gave a generation time zone.It goes from young to old. It gives a all are welcome vibe grandma to young. The food was authentic Mexican food , no Tex mex here. This is real Mexican food . It was delicious! We had three tacos mix and three tortas mix. The jugo de tarmindo took me back to Dominican Republic. If you want authentic Mexican food this where is at.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Danbury!! Is ever authentic with the food, is one of the best places to eat tacos not only because they’re delicious but I can get individually which means I can eat as many different ones at the same time ?. The environment makes me feel like if I was in Mexico, not just that the decor is gorgeous and they have unique pieces. The service is great here, the waiters are very attentive and respectful. I would definitely come back for the experience and for the tacos ??

Not bad. Not good enough to get again. The tacos have almost very little fillings and don’t have much flavor. It’s pretty expensive for what you get too.

I ordered 6 tacos for takeout. 3 chicken and 3 grilled steak. I rated the meal 2 stars. The food was cold even though I got there to pick it up before it was ready and drove to my job 5 min away. I would've preferred that the wrap was hot or at least toasty. The chicken was bland and the steak was salty and both were dry and overcooked , not juicy. I would recommend them to toast the wraps and cook the meat less and to place the guacamole on the side, not in the taco.

Great lunch at Rivera Cafe. We get chips & Salsa and a glass of water to start. I went for the Carne asada and it was good but to be honest, the tacos my lady had look and tasted so much better. horchata was pretty good. Decorations were fantastic!Unfortunately parking is very limited and it’s metered.

We went in for dinner on a snowy day. There is decent street parking available to go here. The place was fairly empty given the weather. We ordered 1 chicken taco, 1 spicy pork taco w/ pineapple. The meat in the tacos were bland. It felt very American rather than Mexican. The enchiladas later were reasonable. They were fully cooked and allowed us to choose between chicken and pork. I tried the mole sauce for the first time. I realized I'm not a huge fan of this sauce. The beans also looked like they came straight from a can. Overall, there are still much better options for Mexican food in the area.

I ordered Chicken Flautas & a small siide of guac (to go)... it came with 4 flautas, Rice & beans.. a small scoop of guac & a scoop of pico de gallo.... The flautas were a 7 /10. Chicken was dry & not flavorful.. I liked the crema on top that helped with the dryness.. the guac was a 7/10, it had no flavor... - Service was nice -ambiance was pretty. Thank u
