Very nice Italian restaurant with a friendly staff. Food was well prepared with a varied menu. It had a neighborhood vibe and was a comfortable easy relaxed feel.

12/31/2026 My wife and I were seated immediately in the enclosed porch area. It seed little cold so we were pleasantly moved into the main dinning area of the restaurant. The head waiter was quick to attend to us. After cocktails the starter we ordered came quickly we shared the calamari and the burrata appetizers, but as we still enjoying our appetizers are meal arrived. Not fond of this practice at all but we accepted them with a smile. My wife had the shrimp and scallops with julienne vegetables and risotto. The shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly but the risotto seemed somewhat flavorless. I ordered the eggplant with spinach with mushrooms. This also came with spaghetti. A nice portion but wasn't as tasty as i though it might be. No dessert. We felt a bit pressured to to be moved along for the next seating. The waiter was nice but a bit terse. Overall a decent meal.

We were seated promptly and our first course arrived quickly. Our main dish took a little longer but was hot and tasty. We were very happy with everything considering it was Christmas Eve.

We are never disappointed eating at Marcels. The prices are fair and the food is great! The waitstaff are always super nice and accommodating. Many of them speak Portuguese as their first language but they will figure out how to get your order right or find someone who speaks English to help you. The bar itself is just that...a bar...but the restaurant side is quiet and often empty, which we like! If you want affordable and delicious traditional Portuguese food, try Marcels! You won't be disappointed!

The service was bad, they forgot to bring the food after waiting for 2 hours, we were full from the bread that they gave us plus the bread was cold and hard. The food was bad , it was very salty. after waiting 2 hours for the food, they were putting their arm in my face for no reason do not recommend this place at ALL.
