I like the restaurant. Every time I go I hope to eat well and that's not the case, the food is getting worse and worse. I think it needs a good chef.

Restaurant 4.2/5French dip 2.7/5Good steakhouse and seafood. Overall, upscale quality food and drink in an American tavern aesthetic. This is our 3rd time coming and we enjoy. Be prepared to spend $$$. Today however, I was here with intentions. One item on the menu. The French dip. 2.7 out of 5. Does not beat out widow browns as not only best in area, but best ever. The au jus rocked, but I was disappointed with the steakumms style meat on the sandwich. It was dry, and i was expecting better quality, especially after previously having various steaks and other items from them menu. The meat in here was assembled with love and care, which is a huge issue at a lot of places. It was not stacked like a child did it, but scooped and layered with love. My biggest issue with this fd, is that is it no where near worth $22. What a sham.

I ordered shrimp and scallops with lobster cream sauce. They for got to put the cream sauce on the dish. I had to find the server to let him know. It took the server forever to come to our table so we never ordered dessert or coffee. It took a while to get our bill as well. Not a good experience.

I stumbled upon this restaurant recently and enjoyed the best customer service experience I've ever had. Fioly, the bartender was professional, friendly and attentive-- because of her phenomenal service, we returned the very next Sunday, with our family and spent over two hours eating and drinking together. Fioly, is definitely the diamond in the rough! Everyone should visit, when Fioly is the bartender on Sundays--you will not regret it!

This was our second visit to MIX. Some really high, highs and really low lows. To start the parking lot on a weekend evening is an absolute disaster. With two higher end, popular restaurants for the area, this needs to be a valet situation. A suburban parking lot should not be a source of frustration where I am looping around looking for parking like I am in the city. The hottest who was flustered and overwhelmed but very kind informed us that while we had a reservation, we could wait at the bar. There was one seat available behind a column at which we could wait for our table at. This would have been fine if it was for a few minutes. Unfortunately, nearly 30 minutes later - that was no longer the case. Finally seated we were greeted by a server who looked and spoke as if he would rather be anywhere but there. Not only a lack of positivity and enthusiasm, but service also lacked in timeliness. No offer of bread. No steak knives on the table before the food hit. Never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks and hand to flag people down for a simple refill of water. Food coming out in haphazard order. Quite frankly - the wait/bus staff was atrocious The decor is very solid. It is a relatively on trend restaurant especially for the area. A large but cozy restaurant. I love that you can see into the "kitchen" when you walk to the restroom. It is clean tidy and organized. The only knocks are semi-nit picky. We don't need a led candle and a mini lamp on our table. If you are going to have a 80" TV at the bar in your dining room and it is on, at least have it tuned to something and not a screen saver. The food was the saving grace. Quite frankly - significantly better than the first time we visited. The fried calamari was well prepared with a good ratio of crust. The chipotle sauce that it was paired with it is not traditional but a delightful twist. The bone in ribeye was excellent. Large cut, well cooked and seasoned without trying to do too much. A very solid steak experience. Plate is ripping hot - so when they say be careful- they mean it! Overall, I will go back one more time to see if I can MIX the great service from the first trip with the culinary experience of the second night. Would recommend, but frankly only because there isn't much competition in the area for this type of restaurant.

Had a great birthday celebration today! The food was great and the service great too. Had the strip with the fig speck appetizer which was a layer of fabulous flavors. I would highly recommend.

Went here for an early Valentines Day dinner as I was traveling for work the day of. It was a fairly busy evening, not packed, but certainly not empty. Upon entering, we were politely greeted by the host, and lead to our table. We were then quickly greeted and served water and bread with a delicious olive oil dip. For an appetizer, we both had the French onion soup which was flavorful and nicely portioned. I ordered the seared tuna with noodles and baby bok Choi (see picture) - all was perfectly cooked, and delicious. I probably would have preferred a few more pieces of Tuna as I wasn't totally satisfied, but it wasn't a small quantity either. I may have just been hungry that night. My lady had the "surf and turf" special with NY Strip and a Lobster tail that was delicious ($70). All of the beef (I believe) is dry-aged for 40 days, and it was flavorful, tender and quite delicious (unfortunately no picture for that). Served with a side of garlic-mashed potatoes and string-beans/carrots. All in all, it was a delicious meal and a nice evening out. I'd come back again.

Wonderful cuts of meat come out on a sizzling plate like fajitas on a cast iron. I really enjoyed the beef, but the service was lacking. Asked for a refill twice and never received a single one during our whole visit.

Best steak I have ever had! Aged 40 days makes a difference. I had a surf and turf special with NY strip and lobster tail. Both were cooked perfectly. Flavor was amazing! Yes, the restaurant is a little pricey, but compared to some other steak houses I find it very reasonable! Would definitely recommend!

Did not get a chance to try their food or drinks. We had a reservation for two at 7:30 on Saturday. Waited at the door for 10 min for a hostess to show up. We were told the table is not ready so we headed to the bar. We were sitting there for 15 minutes without any of the bartenders even making an eye contact. Everyone who works there looks miserable and unwelcoming. We left at 8 after the hostess told us that she cannot tell us when the table is going to be ready. The place is also very loud which makes it impossible to have a conversation.

Very nice restaurant in a good location. One of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. Was worth the $1200 or so I dropped to treat my group. Would definitely go back and looking forward to it.

The food was so-so delicious. Most of us had the filet mignon done at different degrees and every single one of them came out exactly as we asked for. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy and just delicious . All the side dishes came separately. We chose mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus. Each side is big. The restaurant is big which makes ambiance feel a bit cold but it's still a beautiful place, nice lighting, nice setup and they try to bring the coziness in with dim lighting and candles. We finished dinner with espressos and then moved over to the bar area which felt a bit cozier, but just as spacious. All the staff was very friendly and very professional.

Not sure if I was over analyzing the behavior but regardless it was not welcoming. The servers weren't friendly and in a way condescending. It wasn't enough to ruin the night but enough to be noticed. The steaks were AMAZING - flavor top tier !! Recommend the NY strip with chimichuri sauce What I won't recommend is the Backed Mac & Cheese. It had no flavor.
