We thoroughly enjoy the Mill Plain Diner. The staff are always friendly, courteous and professional. The food is served hot and is always delicious, while it is reasonably priced. We have any of number of diners we could go to for our weekly weekend breakfasts, but Mill Plain Diner is the one we choose.

Went with my family, 6 of us. We all had great meals. I had the messy burger which was excellent. Service was great.

The service and server, whose name i forgot, she has short hair and a bunch of tattoos were very nice and she tried to make our lunch experience better as the food was decent at best. A couple of items weren't cooked as requested, and she was nice enough to remove them from the bill. If you see her, sit in her section as she kept checking on us and was very attentive and nice to talk with, which is always good when waiting for your food. Too many servers or workers now a days want to do as little as possible!

Parking: Parking wraps around the diner so there is plenty of parking.

Kid-friendliness: It's just a standard diner, so there's no reason why a family couldn't go with their kids.

Service was fine, not great. The food however was mediocre at best. The souvlaki wrap tasted like the chicken was precooked. I asked if there was supposed to be feta on the wrap and I was told no but could have some for 35 cents. There was no dressing for the wrap. It was not a souvlaki. The open turkey sandwich had no flavor at all. Again seemed processed and not scratch made. My son had the Buffalo chicken wrap and said the chicken was weird. My other son had the Mexican breakfast wrap and described it as wet. I would not recommend dining here. I spent $65 and feel hungry and annoyed. Online Mill Plain Diner reads as if it's a scratch made restaurant; it clearly is not.

No need to post the video that can easily be interpreted how you want it to be. I don’t need footage of my child attached to this pettiness. I am very confident in the accuracy of events as stated in my original review that were so negative that I took the time to even post about it. Just check out the SEVERAL other reviews on this site and other review sites that specifically describe similar or worse experiences with the same individual. Coincidence?? There is a consistent pattern that speaks volumes. Also, the owner made the assumption that the others in our group enjoyed their time. Just because everyone did not post an official complaint doesn’t make it a glowing review. Happy to share if you would like to know! Your response to our bad experience at your establishment is almost as insulting and unprofessional as the actual incident. Good luck!

The man at the front of the diner, not sure if he is the owner or the manager, was very rude and unpleasant. Scolded me as I walked in the door because I had an empty Starbucks cup in my hand. I understand and support businesses with the policy of no outside food or drinks. When you are approached in such a rude and aggressive manner as soon as you walk in the door, finger shaking and scolded like a child out loud in front of the entire diner, it is humiliating and anything but welcoming. We should have left but we’re meeting others that were already there and seated. Wasn’t worth it. Food was not great and overall very uncomfortable and unenjoyable. This man had an unpleasant and unfriendly demeanor as he milled around the diner barking orders at employees. Maybe it’s time to retire!!

I'm usually only in Danbury a few days a year for a seminar and the Mill Plain Diner is a staple breakfast or lunch spot during those days.
A typical diner, you'll find all the staples there, including a delicious dessert case and enormous cookies.
Breakfast here is great, as are many of the lunch items with very generous portions. The only food item I had that fell short was the hamburger but for the most part, the food, service, and atmosphere are very good.

The Mill Plain Diner reminded me what excellent service was like. I couldn’t ask for better! And the coffee & Mexican omelette were good, too.

The manager (scruffy beard, glasses) is sabotaging this business. He is very rude, unfriendly and is doing a disservice to this business. I had a nasty run-in with him about 2 years ago. I gave a second chance. I meet with two other former colleagues about once a month to discuss certain items. It was during lunchtime when we were there about an hour and a half, mind you, the place was empty. He was giving us dirty looks and making nasty comments that we can overhear. About a week ago, we returned there, and my friend dropped the coffee accidentally. This manager became so rude with his comments. Notice to the owner, You need to correct this or you will lose many customers because we will never be back and all because of him.

Food is delicious, services great and they have a heated wheelchair ramp they replace the old one which was perfectly fine and rebuilt it with a new heated concrete pad to keep the snow off of it. They also added stainless steel railings looks nice. My only suggestion is the main door getting into the diner there's two doors like Barn style doors and you have to open both of them to get through the wheelchair it's a little tricky and involves a few people.
