Holiday Diner IS not only my favorite diner, but my favorite eatery! The food is unique, original, and incredibly fresh!! George is always there at the front for the best greeting (and we're all his favorite customer). The waitstaff (especially Pina) make you feel like you're at home there. And I hear... there's occasionally a celebrity sighting ;)

It saddens me to say that I cant give a higher review---everyone was kind and prompt, the gentleman who I think was the owner or manager was very accommodating and polite, it was easy on the eyes inside with nice decor. It has a very limited menu compared to other 'East Coast' diners that I am used to and I was expecting a lot more versatility from a revamped 'recent' styled retro diner. I am a diabetic and there were extremely few flexible options, if any, for low carb meals or more wholesome carb meals (they only have sourdough, no wheat, no multigrain, no rye, just sourdough).
Furthermore---I got an unexpected and unwelcome surprise with my corned beef English muffin: the corned beef was sweet. Homemade, and sweet. That means someone sat down and thought about putting sugar on corned beef, then did it. It was not a good flavor. Not a great portion for a $20 eggs Benedict either (diner around the corner charges $12 for almost double the amount). Did not enjoy my breakfast but I am glad my girlfriend liked the pancakes and hash browns. Won't be back, but I hope they take some tips from diners that have been successful with a larger menu, like NY Fishkill's I-84 diner, which I adore.
