Not good at all. My first clue should have been when the Diet Coke tasted old. Definitely would not go back. There was hair in my soup just overall not a good experience.

Food is fantastic Service is good Ambiance is good Very very very local place. You know your stranger there. It's almost more of a social club atmosphere.

Old Oak has been around as long as I can remember, and I hope it stays that way. The food is underrated. Great Portuguese food. Nice bar set up. Has outdoor seating. Classic old school bar feel. No thrills, a real bar & grill.

I was craving a nice juice stake and this restaurant did not disappoint. They served a Portuguese style "bife a casa" that seemed like I was in motherland. What a great experience.

Growing up in Newark & Elizabeth, NJ, land of Portuguese restaurants, I missed the comfort of home, so I sought out a local restaurant. First timer, menu was familiar, service was slow, food was good, but I ordered one seafood meal and was charged for it's twice-as-expensive counterpart. I didn't bring it up because I didnt want to draw attention, as we were one of two tables in the restaurant side. Although the waitresses were friendly, one did not know what a "straw" was, in English OR in Portuguese. Good place for locals for a casual meal and beer, but I don't know I would return - more of a bar scene than family restaurant.

2nd time in Danbury in a few months and decided to try another Portuguese Restrant. We ordered the kale soup for an appetizer and it was delicious. For the main meal, I ordered the Portuguese steak and my wife ordered the PORTUGUESE BACALHAU À BRÁS (SALT COD AND POTATOES). Wow both meals were delicious and filled the large plates they use. The salt cod was big enough to feed a familyof three. I would strongly recommend this restaurant if you like Portuguese food and well worth the trip.

Eating at Porfirio place ...brings you good memories of traditional Portuguese food , do not leave without the "delta expresso coffee ". . . Will last 8 hours...
