A pleasant experience with friendly service, great drinks, and tasty food. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and welcoming. A wonderful place to enjoy a home cooked meal in Danbury.

The 14 oz steak was cooked perfectly. The halibut special was a little dry and lacked flavor but well presented. The tuna dish was spectacular. The server was very accommodating when choosing the right wine for the meal.

Soup came out cold and sent back to be re heated. This was a special of the day and it appeared as though it was sitting out for a while. The reheated soup was microwaved and the same soup was sent back to our table with soup along the side of the bowl (never wiped clean). The main entrees were very good although my 45 day aged rib eye was served on a old wooden cutting board with some finger potatoes and some green beans. The plating for the additional cost of this meal could have been much better although the steak was tasty. We waited for a desert menu as our server was working a large group adjacent to us so we were made to wait. The wait staff was lacking and we were told when we sat down with a reservation that our table was needed in 90 minutes (which normally would be okay however the service was so slow that we were up against their clock). I believe that this can be a nice place for a meal however it all about timing and your patience to wait for their staff to cater to larger parties as they are challenged to manage the demand for the dinner service.

This was a rare miss from a good restaurant. 1st time for brunch, only like 3 tables, and somehow the food took over an hour and 15 minutes, and the dishes were staggered almost 10 minutes apart. The server was very apologetic (not her fault) but clearly the kitchen was having a bad day. The food was ok - not its usual very good to excellent. Probably won't go for brunch again, but dinner yes.

Amazing food of what's on the menu. I wish they had a few more vegetarian options. The current menu limits the friends we can bring to our favorite restaurant - Rein!

Been here several times. Never disappoints. Disappointed a little there were no specials for the evening. Scallops in a cream a sauce over pearl risotto was delicious. Rigatoni Bolognese was exquisite. Bolognese made with Filet. WE will return (again).

The decor and ambience in the restaurant are very good. Our server was friendly but we had to wait several times for her to return to our table. When drinks were delivered, my husband ordered a simple Jack on the rocks, but it had a muddled cherry in the bottom, and he hates cherries. The server took it back to the bar to get a fresh drink, but then the drink sat at the bar for several minutes and he had to flag a server down to go get the drink for him. When our dinners arrived, 3 of the 4 were only lukewarm. The food looked and tasted good, but unfortunately did not get served hot. We told the server but none of us wanted to send it back because we had seafood and were concerned that it would just be microwaved. The server apologized and did offer to give us complimentary dessert. We know many people who have gone to the restaurant and had an amazing experience so this was perhaps just an "off" night.

Swordfish was very good, but the bone-in pork chop was inedible. They should have provided a chainsaw to cut it. Sautéed Brussels sprouts were equally bad.

Great place .. service was perfect. The quantity of chicken scarpiello was a small portion. The vegetables and few potatoes were also a small portion. 4 cut small pieces of sausage. Etc.. I would visit infrequently . Once every 3-4 months as I like the ambience

The Rein has been in our area for 3 years & we finally got to go there to celebrate 2 birthdays! Why did we wait so long? What a gem! The food, service & atmosphere were exceptional! Our dishes were excellent. We can't wait to go back. Marvelous menu!
