Pretty disappointed with my latest visit as the service seems to have dropped off a cliff. Ordered online at 5:30 to pick up at 5:50, arrived a little bit after 6. When I went to pick up I told them I had an online order and was just met with confusion. I then had to wait another 10-15 minutes as they began to make the food but also seemed to prioritize other people who entered the store and were ordering. I was kind of in shock.

I have a shellfish allergy and have been eating at Salsa Fresca for about 5 years, often several times a month. While I’ve had a few issues in the past, this visit will be my last. I noticed shrimp was added as a protein option, but when staff scoop it, the juices drip into other foods like beans. For someone with an allergy, this creates a very dangerous cross-contamination risk. Out of caution, I left without ordering. I worry that if nothing changes, someone with a shellfish allergy could end up in an ambulance. I hope Salsa Fresca considers separating shellfish and other common allergens, as the current setup is a serious hazard.

I have no idea what this is. But I ordered a side of sour cream. This is what they sent. It looks like old sink water with mold floating in it. It smells awful.

It’s like chipotle but WAY better. Better ingredients, better quality, better portions. Soda in the fountain is all real and organic made with cane sugar. Bottled soda is authentic glass Mexican soda. We love it here. And right next door is a great health food smoothie place that makes delicious Açai bowls!

One of my all time favorite take out places in Danbury. It works pretty much just like Chipotle, but in my opinion it's way better. I'd recommend ordering bowls, but burritos are also a good choice. The BBQ meat is mouth watering and the best one out of the options in my opinion. And the best part of it all, is that it's all whole food, being a healthy choice, unlike most fast food options. Service is great, all the employees are friendly and attentive, and the food is not expensive for what you get.
