Excellent knowledgeable. Top 1% we will be traveling 9 hours from the south to experience these absolutely delicious wines . We are so looking forward to this trip we highly recommend shelter rock winery
We were there for a festival-- dinner, dancing, grape crushing. It was a blast
Wonderful time, great friends, great wine
My boyfriend and I made our own wine with them last year and it was an amazing experience. We gave the wine away as X-Mas gifts and our friends and family loved it!
This place is awesome! Learn the art of Wine making from true professionals. Can't wait to taste my next batch!
Such a GREAT group of people. We are so lucky to have this business in our area. We get together in October, crush our own grapes, make our own wine from start to finish, then bring home our bottles in June. Each member designs their own wine label and selects their own grapes. This is truly a bucket list experience right in our home town!
Shelter Rock Winery is more than a club, Giovanni treats you like family! This is my third year at SRW, it is a fun, relaxed atmosphere to make wine over the course of 10 months. There are parties and activities to join monthly and the wine is delicious and preservative free. You can create your own private labels, it's so fun to share with friends and family or keep for your private cellar. SRW is a great place to bring fiends and make new ones! I highly recommend!
After many years of collecting fine wine from Italy France and California , I decided to stop buying store bought wine. The reason being , my dear brother decided to make our family tradition of wine making a dream come true. He opened up his first winery in Wappenger Falls in 2008, after few years in 2010 moved his all operation to Danbury, CT . Where he opened Shelter Rock Winery. The place is been rocking since then, the winemaking experience has brought many families and friends together ,of which I had the pleasure of meeting all of them , what a wonderful people. I started making my own wine and that alone is Priceless to me knowing that with every sip I take is all natural no chemicals. I wish you the best dear brother and I hope many more take the opportunity to join the wine making club, this way they can experience the same.
Giovanni is clearly a master in the art of winemaking. What a unique and memorable experience!! If you have never made your own wine, and have no idea where to start and dont want to purhcase thousands of dollars in massive equipment, check this place out!! Next club begins in October and you better believe we will be there!!

Best Wine in Danbury. Great group experience. Bring your whole team, business, or family. Wedding parties have a lot of fun here too. Always fun when we get together for member parties!
Great wine making club! Giovanni provides a great product and experience.
Excellent time ,great food and wine.
Drove miles out of our way to visit this winery. Hours clearly state they are open until 6:00 pm. We arrived at 3:50. Sign on door says, “come in, we’re open!” No. No you are not. The door is locked up tight. We knocked and we called but got no response. Really disappointed we wasted our afternoon traveling here.
Great wine and knowledgeble owner. Nice place to order a case or two.
