Was happy when I came in and saw all the decorations and warm colors but after waiting 50 minutes for our meal everything changed. The food was cold. the main ingredient of a bandeja paisa is the beans and rice and they were cold and on top of that the meat was raw. I felt so embarrassed because I invited my friends to go to a nice Colombian restaurant and the whole experience was a disaster.

The service was terrible, my first time was good, but the last time I went they didn't have cutlery on the table, the waitress was talking at the counter and took too long to take the order, she didn't bring the sauce or cutlery. And the appetizer took 40 minutes. I think they changed management because before the service and food were excellent. I won't be back.

The food was excellent!! The presentation is original and very comfortable since the dishes size are generous. Very good service, very attentive and bilingual. The very Colombian decoration is full of colors and happiness, the place is spacious and full of light. I really liked everything but I would have preferred to listen Colombian music artists.

1st the atmosphere: my friend and i walk in and are instantly delighted! The decor is amazing, the colors and lights were very inviting. I wish the restaurant was kept just a smidge warmer considering the weather at the time we visited but hot food can fix that.Ordered cafe con leche as soon as they opened- so it should be fresh right? It was either burnt or old, i got 2 sips in before i pushed it away. I think our server was new bc he was inexperienced and he had to be flagged down more than once. I asked my friend to order a fresh juice(delicious and served in a fun glass but the straw is shorter than it so you have to reach your fingers in the juice to get it!) For me instead while i went and put more quarters in the parking meter because a good amount of time passed by then. And was still charged for the coffee. I told the server at the end i ordered the juice to replace the coffee and he changed it for me.After ordering we waited maybe 20 minutes alone before we got our food. We were the only people there. I ordered the crunchy arepas with shrimp. The cheese was melted but the food was cold so i think someone got distracted along the way... my friend's meal came with a small dish of beans and they were cold as well.Dont get me wrong the food was delicious- just... too cold to truly be enjoyable. And i was excited for a hot cup of coffee only to be disappointed. The portion to price ratio was a little... skewed in my opinion, as well.A single arepa/quac/shrimp sandwich cut into 4s and decorated nicely(also was cold) was about 17$. The fried yuca was about 5 and change with a small portion(but very filling. And cold.) The only thing that seemed worth the value was the juice. My bill for 3 items was almost 40 not including tip. Also there was no tp in the bathroom.

I’ve given this place so many chances, due to having that colombian loyalty. Yet, each time they fail me. The first time i came in they had just opened, i came in with my daughter and mother famished and excited to try out the only colombian restaurant in Danbury. The manager was super nice and she’s the only reason i decided to give this place a few chances. The first time they served my daughter RAW FOOD!! Raw chicken fingers i couldn’t believe it , she apologized and said the chef was out and that they would try again, once again the chicken fingers came out fried outside and raw on the inside and this point i was annoyed and told her to forget it how dare they serve this and to a CHILD!. I ordered an arepa with carne desmechada [ shredded beef] the food was horrible ! The ingredients weren’t all there and the arepa was RAW again! Not to add the beef was not the right type it tasted under cooked. My mother was nice enough to not call the city and complain since the manager was nice enough to go into the kitchen and actually cook the food herself. Overall the food sucked. We decided to give them another chance and order some pandebonos, to our surprise they were drenched in butter and not fluffy at all. Not sure if these reviews are real but i can see a lot of the positive ones are left by friends of the owner or manager. I really want them to succeed but the waiter staff is inattentive, and don’t even know the menu. The food I’ve had is just a disappointment to our culture. The place is nicely decorated and has potential but they really need to hire someone that knows what they are doing. Overall 2 stars since the manager tried her best and the place is nice other than that if you’re hungry don’t bother you’ll leave famished. Don’t recommend.

PLEASE REVIEW YOUR RECEIPT (DISHONEST RESTAURANT)A group of friends visited this restaurant and ordered a $39 Margarita Jar and a $24 Appetizer. The final bill was $94. Initially, the server mentioned they didn’t have Patron but suggested adding Don Julio. However, in the final bill, they charged $10 for Don Julio without prior notice. Additionally, a +28% tip was added without consent, which felt like pure robbery after the incident with the tequila. The server informed us that the kitchen closes at 11 pm. When we tried to order an appetizer with grilled meat, they mentioned the grill was turned off before 10:30 pm. They suggested another appetizer, only to return later saying they didn't have one of the ingredients for it. I've dined in major cities at various restaurants and have never experienced this level of dishonesty before. NEVER AGAIN.

The restaurant is so beautiful. Food is pretty good, we tried the Picadita Tiesto’s which is a sampler for our starter, Bandeja Paisa & Paella Criolla for our entrees. We also got the Muralla Cartagena Margaritas, which was 4 different margaritas. The sampler and drinks were very filling on their own. The staff primarily speaks Spanish and very few people speak English here.
