I ordered veg pakora, malai kofta, roti and vegetable biryani. All the items were tasting bland and stale as if just heated and packed for the delivery. It was total disappointment to order indian food from this place.

Ordered takeout that I picked up yesterday. I went on their website and called in the order. They answered hello and then I repeatedly asked if this was zaytuna just in case I had the wrong number since I wasn't greeted with the restaurant name. I placed my order and was told 25 - 30 minutes. When I arrived 24 minutes later my food was bagged up and sitting by the register. I went to pay and noticed the amounts were not correct. Every item was over charged by several dollars compared to the prices they stated! Each item was $2 to $3 extra making it almost an extra $10 for 3 items. When I opened my food at home the amounts were less too! The food was just ok not as good as it used to be. I can understand if costs go up but don't post the wrong prices and not only did it cost more but there was less food. Very disappointing. I gave this place another chance after a prior issue but misquoted prices and overcharging for food is unacceptable especially when you give less food than before. Sadly I will have to find another restaurant.

Not at all Indian!! The taste wasn’t Indian and even the grains weren’t! We ordered veg biryani, veg hakka noodles and samosas! They gave something which was none of these. Poor biryani, they didn’t even use biryani rice for biryani! Veg hakka noodles had peas (who does that) and they were sweet! They were just noodles mixed with some sauce. Samosas has wet mashed potatoes (American style) inside and served with cucumber and lettuce (which made the samosas soggy)! The taste wasn’t indian or they don’t know how to cook Indian food. If you prefer Indian, better go to some other place!

I tried this place a few years ago and remember it being really good. Either the quality has seriously decreased or I got some better dishes last time and remember it with rose colored lens. The food was alright, not very flavorful by any standards, and especially not for Indian or Southeast Asian cuisine.I got the lentil soup and the Achari (eggplant) dish. The food wasn’t terrible just not very good or unique. Taj in Stamford is way better!!She also accidentally overcharged me - once I pointed it out, I was refunded properlyVegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian and vegan friendly options!

Butter chicken was too sweet. Mix grill was awesome. Great meat quality. Somewhat accommodating. Mango lassi wasn't up to the mark. We tried other items which were just perfect. Mango lassi is always expected to be sweet. Not sour.

PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!! HORRIBLE food. We ordered malai kofta and the koftas were WERE NOT COOKED at all! They were smelling uncooked! We could clearly make out they weren’t cooked. And that’s not the worst part. When we told them the same, server came back saying we checked and they are good. This is how they are supposed to be. Malai kofta is my favorite and I order it every time I go to any restaurant. I know how they are and I do understand what’s not cooked. On top of that, we sent that dish back and we were STILL CHARGED for it. When asked why she said you started eating that dish. Wow! As if we would get to know they are not cooked without eating it. I mean worst customer service.Biryani we ordered was completely TASTELESS but we didn’t fuss about that and just ate some and let it go.But UNCOOKED food!!!! Nah!Will never recommend anyone for this restaurant. DDO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Not even a penny on this restaurant.

This was my first time trying Indian cuisine. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. Located on Main St in Danbury. One way entrance and exit with a private parking lot. They have a Halal grocery store attached which you can access through the hallway. Clean inside with charming decor. Our waitress was fantastic. Great service and constantly check to see how we were doing and how the food tasted. Paying in cash saves you a few dollars on the bill.We originally came in for the buffet which we found out they no longer did. We ended up getting two lunch specials and splitting it. We got the Chicken Tikka Misala and the Lamb Curry. We also got the Onion Naan. At first I thought the portion looked small. By the end of the meal I couldn’t eat another bite. The chicken and lamb were packed with flavor and spices. I loved both but preferred the chicken a little more. The basmati rice was also good. I mixed the left over sauces in with the rice to not waste any. It also came with chana sag. I liked the flavor but am not crazy about chick peas. All of that for under $30. Overall a fantastic first experience with Indian cuisine. Looking forward to going back in the near future. 5 stars!

Food and service really could have been better. Rice felt old and dry. Lollipop chicken had the batter come off when it was served. Just disappointed.

The food was not good at all. It made my stomach hurt afterwards. We mentioned to the waiter that we were displeased with the food and he just laughed in our faces. If you are looking for authentic food, this is not the spot. They put ketchup in their butter chicken and their grilled food taste like cement .Would not recommend this place for their food or service.

By far the worst indian restaurant I’ve been to.Took my parents to have a quick lunch, the service was horrible they are so rude and the food was not good at all.On top of that, the total for the bill was 60$ - even with the rude service we got I left a 10 dollar tip…. just to check my account later and notice they took out 80$ instead of 70$.So they will steal from you.Called the store because if it was an honest mistake no problem things happen but the “manager” laughed in my face. Said I should have asked for a receipt and there is nothing she can do! I’m in shock this place is even in business at this point!!! Avoid this place!!!! Will never go back.
