I ordered 5 dishes - all were floating with oil- tasteless - expensive goat curry had no defined pieces but some long pieces of rubbery meat. Chole, baingan Were tasteless and full of smelly oil.
I called owner next day when it opened ( ordered on Sunday-called Tuesday as they closed on Monday) -he did not show any emotion rather keep telling I would convey to kitchen. Looked like he was aware of issues. No sorry -.Worst experiences - we discarded all food .

Coromandel delivered an outstanding dining experience! The food was authentic, incredibly flavorful, and every dish was prepared to perfection. We started with the chicken kebabs and eggplant appetizer, both of which were absolutely delicious. The curries were rich and full of flavor, and the roti, garlic naan, and chili naan were fresh, soft, and the perfect accompaniment.

The cocktail menu is equally impressive, featuring creative drinks inspired by the vibrant flavors and spices of India. It adds a unique and refreshing touch to the overall dining experience.

We enjoyed every single bite of our meal. Whether you’re a fan of meat dishes or looking for excellent vegetarian options, Coromandel offers an extensive menu with something for everyone. If you’re in the Darien area, this is a must-visit destination for authentic Indian cuisine. Highly recommended - we’ll definitely be back!

It is the same service as a delivery—like a customer wanting to take their dinner home—but the boss or manager has a terrible attitude; on top of that, there is no secure area for takeout orders. It involves discrimination and arrogance.

After 12 years, this is still the best Lasuni Ghobi we've had anywhere.

The chicken biryani (medium spice) is sublime. Love that there is an option to use organic chicken for only 3$ more. A lot of biryani uses dark meat and coromandel uses white meat/breast and it never feels heavy in the belly. In fact, I feel great eating this dish and their Dahl (medium spicy) is a flavorful delight as well. I would also recommend the saag paneer. Many places use so much cream and ghee. Coromandel goes light w these ingredients. Try the chicken biryani and if you enjoy spice, go for medium!

Coromandel Cuisine of India is on a completely different level. Every dish we ordered was incredible — the Andhra Chili Chicken, Tandoori Shrimp, Lamb Vindaloo, Keema Matar, Nawabi Aloo Gobi, and Onion Kulcha were all perfectly spiced and full of authentic flavor.
What really sets this place apart is they offer organic options. If clean eating matters to you, this is the place.

Food was authentic, flavorful, yummy! I came here on a weeknight with my parents around 7pm and we were warmly greeted. Service is on point, appetizers and curries are delectable. Lamb roganjosh, paneer, roti, naan, and rasam soup is what we had and we enjoyed every bite. Server was professional, polite and the staff made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommended if you want a wide array of Indian food, plenty of meat and vegetarian options!

Joji is a great host! Loved the food…. I was in CT on a work assignment and Coromandel was my dinner stop. Good food, welcoming staff… My bad for the late reviews.

My girlfriend is Indian and so far this is her favorite Indian restaurant in the United States. I agree with her the quality of the food it top notch.

That said, I also respect their honesty because we asked if the biryani was made traditionally and they admitted they made it like fried rice. Real biryani is made with the meat and rice cooked together. Therefore- I’d recommend everything on the menu except biryani.

If you are making biryani then call it biryani. If you are making fried rice then don’t call it biryani🤷‍♀️ if the server was not honest about the biryani and we tried it this would be a much lower review.

I’ve eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants (it’s one of my favorite cuisines), and this is hands down the best in Fairfield County. My fiancée and I had an incredible dinner at Coromandel Cuisine of India in Darien, CT the food is not only authentically prepared, it’s beautifully presented and thoughtfully flavored. Every dish had layered, balanced spices, rich, aromatic, and never heavy.

The ambiance is classy and comfortable, a polished dining room that still feels warm and welcoming, perfect for date night or a special meal with friends. The service was outstanding: attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, with staff who guided us through the menu and checked in at just the right times.

What really sets Coromandel apart is the range of dishes, the menu includes unique options you don’t see at most Indian spots, alongside the classics. It’s the rare place that nails both.

If you’re searching for authentic Indian food in Darien or anywhere in Fairfield County, put Coromandel Cuisine of India at the top of your list. Exceptional food, great service, refined atmosphere—couldn’t recommend more.
