Visited this cafe for breakfast during a trip through CT. On the morning we visited they were extremely short staffed due to staff having to call out, leaving only one woman (I think Madeline?) to prep and cook all of the meals for the entire full house of guests. We’ve been coming to the Whistle Stop Cafe for years while visiting a family member who just passed away. We will definitely come back again when in the area. Maddy has continued a family tradition and creates a delicious, warm, fun place. We appreciate that she offers the old standards and creative adaptations to meet current tastes. Try the Neptune omelette or the garden lovers Eggs Benedict. And don’t miss the cranberry walnut toast. And Ralph will keep your coffee or tea...
What a wonderful find! My husband and I had a wonderful meal. I had the Austin eggs Benedict and my husband had the southern discomfort omelet, we highly recommend both. Everything is fresh, made to order and delicious. You will not be disappointed.
