Luen Hop Chinese Restaurant

I’ve patronized this restaurant for over 15 years. The best and most popular item on the menu was boneless spare ribs. It’s all I ever ordered. They used to put the meat under a broiler for every order. Now it’s pre-broiled without the broiler char. Plus, the fried rice was tasteless even after five soy sauce pkts. This was my last visit.

Food quality has declined and prices are double. If I order hot garlic sauce I expect to see pieces of garlic and a 🌶️. Your cutting corners is sending me away after 20 years plus

**DO NOT**Spend your money here! Spent $30 and the only edible items were the spring rolls. The food tasted of some sort of cleaning agent. They even charged me an extra two dollars when they gave me the incorrect order. When I came back with all the food, I was unable to eat, the lady came around the counter to be face to face with me. I assume she came around because I was talking in a low tone, trying to be discreet. She then called over to the gentleman in the cooking area and asked me to repeat what I told her. They did nothing but blank stare me. I will never be back. It would be more appropriate to provide this establishment with no stars, due to their lack of empathy for my complaint. I made sure when I came in that I approached in a professional manner so we could handle the matter with a gentle approach instead of a callous complaint.

Asked for Veggie fried rice lunch special With chicken wings on Menu it says $8.95 doesn’t say Upcharge for Plain or Veggie fried rice So my food came out to 11$ on top of that The chicken wings are still Soggy and not extra crispy like I asked. I did not deserve my lunch and that was a total waste of 11$! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! & I will never spend my money there again.

previously gave 5 star about year and half ago. Hot and sour soup has changed and not nearly good as once was.

Very good food. I had their sesame-chicken, crab rangoon, and wonton soup. Don’t listen to the bad reviews it’s a great food.

Overall it's a good place , sometimes they use way to much oil in the fried rice ,or the egg rolls or chicken drips from oil, that's really the only time I have a problem with it, otherwise the workers have always been friendly , and they always get the food prepared fast.

Don’t waste your time going here they used to have good quality food but now they have overpriced trash TRASH and they rude too when you try to address the issue 40 two specials that was disgusting!!! Rib was hard and nasty rice was just rice fried chicken cold and old and the egg rolls was greasy and nasty. We ain’t eat 💩

Been going here for years, and the price is ALWAYS different and always try to rip us off. Always check the price and be careful paying with cash because they always round up and jip you. Will not return, sad.

Food is always on point. Been going here for 20 plus years. I believe they did switch up staff or ownership, but the food remained good and always fresh ! House fried rice is amazing ! Best Chinese food in East hartford hands down.
