Sandpiper Restaurant

I've been going here for 25-plus years. I would eat at the Piper 2 to 3 times a week living so close. If you're an OG regular, you already know how great the food and atmosphere were when Gregory, Nicole, Bob, Patty, and the great servers that ran the show. Why fix something that's not broken?

Unfortunately, it came to an end, but i did want to share a quick positive thing is that the fry cook that's been at the sandpiper for 30 plus years Carlos has moved to Nickys. Place down the street where you'll find some of the exact original sandpiper dishes at a way cheaper price! Enjoy

Always the best whole belly fried claws and fish sandwiches.

If you're ever in the New Haven East Haven area you need to come to Sandpiper restaurant it's directly across the street from the beach and it has an outdoor area with a roof over it so you can sit here even if it's raining and the staff is amazing The food is fantastic too You find it.

Sandpiper was Awesome for my husband’s birthday 🥳 dinner. Harry, Lisa and the staff did a fantastic job, even helping with set up and decorations 🎉
We reserved the front patio and had an excellent view of the water. The food was delicious !
Our guests had a great time!

Nice selection of food and desserts. I was reminded how much I love clam strips. There's also an ice cream shop attached so you can easily expand upon the dessert menu.

Was disappointed order take out it was over over fried had seafood platter everything was over cooked count eat the class at all very disappointed for 48 dollars

Good ice-cream

The food was good. Our server was awesome. The wait was rough. We visited on a Tuesday that either had more customers than normal or was short cooks.

The food was not that good. We had mozzarella sticks that were the kind you buy in a grocery store with sauce that tasted like Prego. My first bite into garlic bread was into a full clove of garlic! The hot lobster roll platter was underwhelming with undercooked fries and some of the lobster was cold. Three others had fried seafood platters all with undercooked and some cold fries. The portions were small for the price and tasted like the seafood came from the freezer. Nothing was freshly made in this dinner. Overpriced. So disappointed.

Service was very slow. The server had just out table outside took forever for home to return. Asked 2x for water never received it. Food was good.
