I've been to pubs in Ireland that look almost exactly like this one from the inside. Great atmosphere, great pub food. Had the cheesesteak sandwich. It was delicious and garlicky which I didn't expect but thought it was a nice flavor to add.
The service was excellent. Tried the Shepherds Pie, an Irish staple. It was bland and it had a slight sourness to it. Something was added that traditionally isnt normally in the dish. It has a red /orange tint to it. Very few restaurants in CT that serve Irish food. The best you'll have to travel for to Hamden but we'll worth the drive if happen to live a distance away.
The food was very good. We say out in the patio without a wait. However, the parking lot is next to the patio, and since we were there so long, it got dark out, and we had to contend with headlights in our faces while we ate. That sucked.
We had to wait a LONG time for our food. Again, the food was good, but we had no idea we would be there for so long. We were looking for someplace after a soccer practice and ended up being there about 1.5+ hours....
