Alina's Cakes and Cookies

I ordered a bungalow cake here for my dad and it was very good! The owner came out to give me my order and she was very friendly! There is many desserts to choose from and the inside is nice and clean! Highly recommend!

I have been a very satisfied Alina’s customer for years and confidently would go to her for any major event in my life that requires a beautiful and thoughtful cake. I recently ordered a cake for a surprise 70th birthday party and could not be more disappointed. When I came in to pick it up the cake on my way to the surprise party-the very lovely young man working behind the counter knew before showing me that something was off. I expressed that it did not look presentable and he quickly offered to do whatever he could to remedy the situation. I left having to rush around to find alternative solutions to try and make up for the haphazard and thoughtless presentation of what I was given.

I sent a personalized email to Alina and the bakery-expressing my disappointment as a long time customer and praising the problem solving and customer service of the gentleman working and kindly asked for a reply or acknowledgement of the email I sent. I am only submitting a review now as it has been over 5 weeks and I still have received no response from the bakery.

Sadly I will now be searching for a new bakery and would no longer confidently recommend Alina’s to anyone looking to pay a premium for something special.

I got sugar cookies last weekend for my engagement party. The cookies themselves were delicious and looked really pretty, all of my guests loved them. However, I must say the customer service was not the best. I first went to ask for some information and saw (who I thought was the owner) in the front desk, not the nicest person and not really helpful at all, I rater felt embarrassed by the way she treated me. I went back a couple of weeks later to make the order and there was a very nice man who helped me and gave me advice on how to decorate my cookies, so my experience was a lot better the second time.
Overall, really nice product and delicious, but truly must work on customer service!

Very unimpressed. The cookies tasted like cardboard and the chocolate filling tasted like nutella. I paid almost $30 for a small box thinking why not pay more for good quality but i was wrong.

Was walking by and saw this place open and I went in to ask for information on a wedding cake. The woman at the counter acted like I was annoying her and she couldn’t be bothered. I guess she didn’t want the business! Quickly went somewhere else to spend my money

So disappointed!! Since opening of Westport store it feels like Fairfield location has gone down hill. Went in twice for bread about noon. None left. Purchased an awful tasting pear tartlet. Tasted like flour and tasted like it was not fresh. Everything is very expensive so I expect a delicious product.
Not anymore!!!!! Loved your buttercream.
Last large order I placed for retirement for cake and cupcakes: order lost(luckily I called to confirm) no record of order. I had no help w design, no help w flavor combos, cake was ok but nothing special. My visits and spending will be a lot less unless service and quality improve.

Their cupcakes are pure garbage and have audacity to charge over $4 for one. Taste and smell like an old refrigerator. I highly doubt they make them onsite. Either that or made a month ago and they keep disgusting items in freezer then put them out each day. Seriously, Shoprite has better quality.

We got our daughter’s first birthday cake, smash cake and cupcakes from Alina’s! They were all beautifully decorated for our berry themed birthday! Her raspberry mousse filling is our absolute favorite! We love her cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and chocolate covered pretzels.

My family and I moved to the greater Bridgeport area a little over a year ago and one day while at the UPS store we saw Alina’s. Since then it’s been great experience after great experience. My girlfriend and I ordered two cakes for our sons baptism and everyone loved them, usually you have cake to bring home, but that was not the case here, everything was gone down to the frosting. A few weeks later our little one celebrated his first birthday and we ordered a cake and sugar cookies and the deign and taste was nothing short of delightful. Alina and her team do their best to satisfy, we frequent the place so much we know most of the front of the hose associates by name. I would like to give an even bigger shout out to Yasmine and Susanna who are both so welcoming and greeting us with smiles and samples. We recently found out she opened a new location in Westport and they sell freshly made breads, I’m going curb my review but if you’ve made it this far, please go. The treats are well worth it.
