Typically love this place and always rave about their grilled chicken Caesar salad but this last time I ordered it I was highly disappointed. Placed my order online to go- the salad container was not even half way filled and instead of grilled chicken I got chicken deli meat cut into strips. Unfortunately I ordered this on my way to work and didn’t realize until after they were closed when I sat to eat dinner. Needless to say this is the last time I’ll be ordering a grilled chicken caesar salad again

Always busy but awesome sandwiches. The Redgate is A+. Don’t forget to get the pickles from the jars

Way to busy for them to keep up so much so that they were arguing behind the counter because it was too crazy and apparently short staffed. Waited 30 minutes for food. Ordered the special and was given the wrong order. They tried to tell me that’s how they make it and I told them they need to fix the description on the board because what I got was not the sandwich I ordered. They sent someone to look at the board and realized they were in the wrong yet instead of correcting it right there they said I can wait another 20mins or get a refund. Meanwhile I had a 3yr old with me and already waited 30mins for the food to begin with. The girl had no idea how to issue a refund and told me I was using a different card which I had the original receipt for to prove I wasn’t. So far my credit card is showing two of the same charge so guarantee she messed that up too. Then she proceeds to tell me have the day you deserve like I made the sandwich wrong and was complaining for fun. How about acknowledge you guys messed up and prioritize a customer that already paid. For reference here is the picture of the board which lists everything on the sandwich. No where on there under Roma Panini does it state pesto or tomato and the one I got was also missing the balsamic so completely different. Do better!

Ordered hot sandwiches and got what seemed to be reheated sandwiches, barely any hot sauce on the buffalo solider. The Harlem shuffle was messy/thrown in a bag and had no flavor

Stopped in and had a pleasant experience. The backroom is nice and unique. Place was clean and well maintained. A little confusing where to order and pay. But at the end of the day the food was good and the staff was friendly.

Great Deli! I went there a lot as a teen, and I still go there now as an adult. Solid
Had a very uncomfortable experience eating here. The manager was yelling and verbally abusing the staff right in front of us as we waited for our food to come out. It made me sick to my stomach seeing this older woman yell at the younger college age staff.
My favorite place for lunch in Fairfield Center! Longtime

Egregious experience and for sure not a place I would order from again. I ordered on the grubhub app and it took 25 minutes for them after it said it was ready, to then notice the bag that said my name and make my sandwich. After all of 15 seconds they gave me my sandwich and apologized which I appreciate because I know the employees have good intent for their customers. Once I started eating it, the sandwich itself looked very sad. The tomato was hanging on for dear life from the bread and the beef was overcooked. Why would you even remotely call this a New Yorker? Please step up your game guys I know you’re better than this and I want you guys to improve so you that way you don’t lose a frequent customer.

Im a hairstylist at a salon in Fairfield and we did a uber eats order.. when the food came my wrap which wasn’t supposed to have any meat on it (I’m a vegetarian) came with grilled chicken added to it. I called to tell them and I spoke with Christine she was so nice and apologetic. She offered to give me a credit on my debit card, a gift card, or told me I could come pick up a new wrap. I explained my next client was going to be here and I didn’t have time and she said she would leave me a credit at the deli for next time I wanted food. Well I was off the following day and one of the other stylists told me someone from the deli dropped me off a gift card! I get to work today and there is a 20$ gift card plus a little note from Christine apologizing again! The fact they went above and beyond and took it upon themselves to deliver a gift card to my job was the most amazing thing ever. I wish all places had such amazing customer service ! I don’t even care about the wrap being wrong because mistakes happen and how she went above and beyond to correct the error and then some is something most places would never do! Amazing amazing amazing is all I can say !!!
