I had a wonderful experience. Because this particular restaurant has changed hands many times I went in with some skepticism. The place was wonderful. I will be going back. I suggest you do too.
Always friendly. The bar is so fun! Comfortable seats, too. Specials are always delicious. We had the steak & Sole!!!
Dan, the bartender, was a great host!! Owner is always on premise.

Very nice friendly place. Small menu but we find everything is well prepared and very tasty. We have eaten there several times and never left disappointed. Great place to take family and friends.
As someone with Celiac this restaurant is perfect. They offer a huge selection of GF items which were delicious. Their wine list is also excellent. The staff was knowledgeable and very attentive.
The restaurant has a kitchy name as do the menu items but the food and atmosphere were very good. Cozy interior that is a little dark and moody. There is a nice outdoor seating area. The cocktails were well made and beautifully presented. The menu includes some middle eastern items which seemed odd for an Italian restaurant. For appetizers we had the beats, zucchini chips and Mediterranean spread. Beats were very good. Some in my group thought the zucchini was a little oily but I thought it was delicious. Would have preferred a different sauce but liked the zucchini very much. The dip trio was okay. The hummus was creamy and tasty but the other two dips were just okay and the pita, while warm, tasted a little stale. We had a cavatelli special and the one on the menu. Both were very good. The cavatelli had a great chew to it, cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and a bit tangy. We also tried Vinny’s pizza. It was tasty. All in all we enjoyed most everything we had and the pastas were served steaming hot which should be the norm at all restaurants but isn’t.

Wonderful local eating. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. We sat on the porch, lovely night -- however, the mosquitoes ate my ankles alive! Come prepared and still enjoy.
The food is amazing and such a clean restaurant with fun atmosphere. They were also very accommodating when we brought 3 young children for a birthday celebration.

This was my second time dining at Gabagool Wine Bar. I had such a fantastic experience the first time I was there I figured what better place to take my husband and friends to eat before our show at FTC. The minute we walked in Antonio, the Owner, greeted us like we were family. We had the perfect table and truly enjoyed ourselves. We started off with the most yummy drink, the "howyoudoin" which was cucumber/jalapeno infused Tequila, Orange Liquor, Lime Juice, Ginger/Pineapple Foam on top. WOW so good. As far as food, we had the rocket & romaine salad, tasting of the balls, 2 meat and 2 potato rice balls, the chicken parm and the spicy pizza. Everything was delicious! For dessert we shared the MOST AMAZING Pistachio cake which my friend Tracy and I loved. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere and all of the staff were top notch. If you have not been here yet, my suggestion is that you give it a try. I know you will love it as much as we all did. Thanks ANTONIO!!

The entire staff was amazing. The food was delicious and had good portions. We spoke with Antonio about drink name suggestions. He loved ours. Can't wait to go back again for another date night.
Such a welcoming environment with delicious Italian food. In the summer heat it's hard to take down such a large plate of warm food, but they can accommodate you in other ways. The cocktails, apps, and entrees were all amazing. I simply cannot wait for the colder days to sit down in Gabagool, order a healthy portion of chicken parm and drink a Don Corlemon. This is exactly what Fairfield needed and we will be back!
We arrived early (we were out and about anyway) so we had the pick of seats. We sat in the porch which has a great view of Fairfield. The waitress was extremely helpful, checking the vintage on the wines I was interested in. I was even able to taste a some of the wine I finally selected. We had a single appetizer (zucchini chips) which were excellent. The main dishes arrived soon after and were delicious. The Orecchiette is highly recommended. We each had a dessert (have the key lime mousse--so good.) It was our first time there, but it won't be our last. This restaurant goes to the top of our frequent eating establishments.
We had a family celebration and wanted to try out Gabagool. The food was delicious (especially the calamari, eggplant rolatini, and zucchini chips apps!) The service was great. Mynor our server was very knowledgeable, fun and friendly. The cocktails are fun and definitely hit the spot. Antonio, the owner, even came by to say hello and checked if everything was to our liking. Our new favorite spot in Fairfield. Highly recommend!!
I was here for an event and Antonio (and team) were beyond helpful! As someone who has several food allergies, it can be difficult to find anywhere to eat. They made me feel incredibly comfortable and were extremely accommodating.
