Went here for a wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was good. Went at a perfect time before a rush. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We had their famous meatballs on their special menu for the day as an appetizer. May I say the meatballs are amazing and BIG. They were delicious. To drink we had wine from a great selection. First time at this restaurant. The food was really good but the service was not. They said they were out of meatballs and the suppli, but we saw meatballs being served to all of the tables around us. They also told us the only dessert available was lemon lava cake but as we walked out we saw chocolate cake being served. They clearly saved the food for people they knew/liked. They very likely lost us as customers because of this favoritism.
Our group of four had a terrific meal. To start we had the rollatini (sp?) and the special mushroom and goat cheese crostini and the Asiago cheese pasta. All were really good. Entrees were special short rib and mushroom ragu, special chicken piccata and branzino. Again, everyone was very happy. We brought our own bottle of old Barolo and were charged a very fair $25 corkage. Super friendly service.
