As an African American gay woman, in a predominantly white town. I came into this diner expecting the worst. I was met with the complete opposite. The servers were super kind and talkative , the atmosphere was home like, the cook was quick and the food tasted amazing! We waited less than 5 mins for all our food ! We spend 53$-60$ with tip, which isnt bad for what we got ! The grilled cheese was so perfect , I got seconds !
Today I went to johnnys restaurant. Here is the reason for the 3 stars… sitting at the booth where you can see behind the counter is the cook. And unfortunately after handing my omelette and cooking it, I see him touching a peice of bacon and then after that touch lettuce. I did not see throughout the entire time of my visit the chef wearing any gloves. It is imperative regardless of if you have washed your hands to always wear gloves to prevent any Cross Contamination. The...
Best pancakes ever. Moist and hot. My wife had an omelette it was cheese and fluffy. The potatoes were very flavorful. Can't wait to go back and try French toast. Old school diner. Short order cook. Been there 20 years
