The people here, the food here. It doesn’t get more authentic. I gotta say it’s Fairfield’s hidden gem. Not your average fairfield restaurant, the care that the staff gives, the owner and family - is extraordinary. Real authentic Greek food. The pastisio, the chickpea beet salad and their octopus omg. But you can’t go wrong with any of the options in the limitless menu. And wait did I mention the cocktails?

First visit here three months ago, the food was great and the service was excellent. We came back this week hoping for the same experience, but unfortunately it was completely different.
The waiter was horrible. He told us he was going to bring bread and never came back with it, until another waiter came back she gave us bread. The service felt rushed and inattentive from start to finish.
We ordered the scallops, which were bland and had no flavor at all. The red snapper was the same, no taste and improperly seasoned. Overall, the food lacked care and effort.
The entire experience felt like a money grab, from the drinks to the dinner. Very disappointing compared to our first visit.

We were planning a quick stop off the highway, on our return from new york ro home in Shelton. Let's just say. We will most definitely be back again. The food was fresh and the flavors were clean. With the food and the atmosphere inside, you could close your eyes and imagine being on the shores of the Mediterranean or Aegean. Top it off with an extremely friendly and helpful staff

I met the owner of Lantern Point Taverna in the most random way possible… in the grocery store. We started chatting, he said he had to head back to his restaurant, and I thought, “This guy looks like he definitely knows how to make good food.” I asked what kind of place it was. He said Greek. I said I love falafel. He said his was the best.
A few hours later I stopped in, and wow. He was not exaggerating. Best falafel I’ve ever had. Absolutely unreal.
The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff was friendly and on point, and the whole place just had a great energy. Even on a busy Friday night, the owner (who goes by “Jimmy the Greek,”) took time to hang out, chat with me at the bar, and actually have a real conversation. That alone says a lot about the place.
If I lived nearby, I’d be here constantly. Can’t recommend Lantern Point Taverna enough.

A really nice restaurant with a great vibe. They have outdoor, indoor and bar seating. We ordered several appetizers: octopus, calamari, fried smelts and some sort of feta cheese party. All of it was delicious. For our entrees I had the 20 oz. Robert served with mushrooms, we also had a beet salad as well as a Chicken kabob. The food was really good. The service was excellent as well. We will definitely come back to try other items

Outstanding customer service! I ordered takeout from Lantern Point Taverna, and my salad was missing the grilled chicken. When I called to let them know, they immediately offered to deliver the chicken right to my door with no hesitation at all. That level of care is rare, and I truly appreciate it. The staff is incredibly kind, and this experience has made me a loyal customer. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Had a delicious dinner here with my family. Service was very attentive and gave wonderful recommendations. We tried the eggplant and zucchini chips which were crispy. The three dip platter was delicious, we had the best tzatziki that we had in a while. All of the meat was delicious but the bifteki was the star of the show! Portions were huge and we will have leftovers for tomorrow. Absolutely would recommend this spot!

This was our first visit and we loved the interior and set up of this casual dining space that felt like being in Greece but in a homey and relaxed atmosphere. Very welcoming. Our server was enthusiastic, accommodating and very attentive which only enhanced the experience. The Mykonos beer was the perfect cool temp and went down easy. A great reommendation and my new favorite beer. The 3 dips and pita triangles we had as an appetizer were very good, and would have loved to see a few more olives included. The Mousakka and Pastchio main dishes were both tasty and we enjoyed the side of green beans with tomatoes. I was hoping the Mousakka would knock my socks off, and while good, I did expect a bit more flavor and freshness. The portion size was generous. Service was fantastic. The entire establiment was clean, including the restrooms, and we would love to return and try some other menu items. On street parking and outside dining option.
