Couldn't decide which lobster roll to try so I got the flight. It was a wise choice. Soooo good! All 3 we're delicious but the Heatwave was my favorite. The lobster was so fresh and perfectly. The toasted bread had the right amount of crust to. The chowder was delicious as well. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in CT.

One a scale of 1-10, this place gets buzz and ratings around 9 to 10 ... but my 7 rating would be generous. It's probably closer to a 6.8. Yes, Lobstercraft has been an ultra- trendy brand, and it's in a super-busy location. But it's overrated. Maybe the problem with getting high reviews is that you build up expectations. I arrived with plenty, and left 30 minutes later thinking I should've just just kept driving. (And that's coming from a major lobster roll aficionado. I truly wanted to like this place) In Lobstercraft's defense, the pricing is not insane for the heart of Fairfield County. But that's about as good as this review gets. Smallish lobster roll, more shards than chunks, too heavy on the seasonings and too light on the lobster. As another reviewer said, the roll is too prominent - in volume and in taste. The lobster itself was ... average. The butter was ... OK. But overall, there wasn't that "wow, this is FRESH!!" taste that a truly excellent lobster roll provides. Dead-Eye Dick's on Block adds some very tiny lobster shards to the butter during prep, and it makes such a difference. Ford's or Abbott's in Noank, Captain Scott's in New London or the Lobster Pound in Guilford easy outperform. Similarly, the clam chowder wasn't bad ... it just wasn't anything I'd go back for. Too heavy on the chowder, too light on the clams. So overall, I'd surely go back - if I had a good reason. But I can't add Lobstercraft to the list of places that deserve a "go out of your way" trip to get there.

Love this place! the man at the counter was very nice! There was a giant hat there that he let me wear! The lobster roll and food were delicious! This restaurant has such good food, a nice place with nice people and a very short line! 100/5, Would come here again!

Lobster rolls are good, albeit too pricey. I guess it reflects the price of real estate.Clam chowder is waaaay too salty. I feel like drinking condensed sea water.

I probably would not have stopped but remembered my son saying it was good. Actually, the lobster roll was loaded with ?—terrific. Not inexpensive but so worth it. Delicious!

I arrived at 7:49 and they refused to make anything since the kitchen closes at 7:45. Felt a bit like the movie Falling

Disappointed, after eating lobster in Maine and coming here I couldn’t believe the difference. The lobster rolls just look sad and have barely any lobster on them. There’s even no lettuce or salad that comes on the bun and the clam chowder is just poorly made. For the crazy price these guys charge I’d expect food that could rival other places and it just can’t. Staff was sort of nice and the atmosphere was as cute as you can get on the post road.

Lobster Rolls, warm or cold, both are great. Unexpectedly good clam chowda! Hmm, skip the cold slaw, like an odd cabbage salad. Overall, very good menu options, for seafood lovers, kid friendly options, and everyone else. Almost no indoor seating, outdoor patio tables for 20, otherwise get it to-go and take it to the beach.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu options, hot dog, grilled cheese, chicken fingers, fries.

Parking: Very limited, small parking lot, street parking options.

Small place with limited seating. Food is costly but not overly for quantity they serve. Unfortunately, the warm lobster roll had no flavor other than the house seasoning, which was overpowering. Bisque was okay. Won't bother going back there.

Parking: Parking lot is adequate for the size of the restaurant.

Very disappointing. Quite overpriced for what you get. The lobster wasn't bad, but the roll was small, the amount of lobster was pretty scarce, and with that I'd expect the flavor to be out of this world for $26. Sadly, okay lobster on a sad basic roll with the plainest of butters just doesn't deliver at all.

Great Connecticut (hot!) lobster rolls. Thankfully, they don't even mess around with the Maine variety. Generous portions and frieldy staff, too.
