We had my father memorial lunch Luigi's. We didn't give them much notice (has happens with these things) and we had a big group (31 pp). The staff did a great job. We arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected but they made room as quickly as they could. The food was good, the atmosphere was good, the staff was so great. Nothing to complain about! Also, their olive oil is actual liquid gold. My favorite course was the bruschetta. Followed closely by olive oil and bread....
Seeing that I grew up with this special place, I might be biased. However, if you're looking for genuine Italian cuisine and a pizza that competes with New Haven at a fraction of the cost, then Luigis is for you. Make it a point to stop here and appreciate one of the few last Mom and Pops restaurants around. You won't be disappointed. Closed on Sundays, and I love that. No matter how much I wish they weren't. There's something to be said about that.
I recently dined at this restaurant with my friends and I really liked the food. Our server was friendly and attentive.The ambience of the restaurant also contributed to a pleasant experience.
