Overall Molto is a good restaurant but must of been having a bad day. Appetizers came out without utensils. When asked for utensils the help brought out two tea spoons for Calamari and a ceasar salad. Then after a wait 4 out of 5 meals arrived. I guess they forgot the one. Our waitress was super nice and apologetic but when your a paying a premium price everything needs to be perfect including the knifes and forks.
Food and service was exceptional! We went for my daughter's birthday dinner, she loved it! Will definitely be going back.
Being it was Parents Weekend at Fairfield U, Molto was hopping! We were so happy that we were able to make a reservation and even happier when it was honored without any delay. Our server (who had a beautifully unique name) was fantastic! The restaurant - both inside and outside - was PACKED and she handled herself and the frenetic pace without missing a beat and we were served in a timely fashion without feeling rushed. We all enjoyed the dishes we were served.
Terrible! Manger was snotty which was appalling!! Only one server for the whole restaurant! No soap in the bathrooms and they literally ran out of milk for coffee!! What a disappointment!
Loved this place... Great food and service which is consistent. The only drawback was it's usually packed so it's a little loud.

Food was mediocre. Probably should've ordered pizza. Linguine Lemone had no lemon flavor in it. It was overpowered by way too much garlic. Service was slow for a Tuesday night - one waitress, but not that many people. She was doing her best. Noise level was very loud.
Food is excellent. Lamb chops are incredible! Great drinks, awesome service. The manager Adam stopped at our table to make sure everything was good. He genuinely seemed to care about our experience. Highly recommend.
Just had another fabulous meal and experience at me and wife's "go-to" resto, Molto! My wife and two daughters swear their Penne Alla Vodka is the best. Today I tried it on the Happy Hour menu... what an amazing value!!!! I'm totally in agreement with my family. The meatballs were amazing as well. Lunch or Dinner, this is our stand-out favorite. The service, the food, the vibe... always delivers. And the Manza (steak panini) is by far the BEST (most tender, most tasty) steak sandwich one could by in Fairfield County.
Second time at Molto! Alexis was an excellent waitress. Our food came out hot and delicious - you could tell it was cooked to order and the pasta was homemade. The Apple Butter cake was phenomenal. We weren’t rushed at all, we truly enjoyed our meal. Just about everyone was friendly and welcoming from the hostess to our waitress to the servers (the “manager” not so much). This would have been a 5 star rating if management had handled the following situation better. Story time: After reviewing their menu online and in-person, I decided to order one of their popular pasta dishes that was posted online a few times (most recently 8/9/25) and advertised on their social media account as the “best pasta dish in Fairfield.” Unfortunately, what arrived was a completely different dish from what I thought I was ordering based on what was in the video. Turns out, whoever handles their social media posted a video of a pasta dish but used the wrong name and description (so what arrived, was not what I had seen in their video). It was pretty much a catfish situation lol (what I ordered vs. what I got). I returned the wrong order and I asked to order something else (apparently, the “best pasta dish in Fairfield” isn’t a current menu item so they couldn’t even bring out the correct dish). To add insult to injury, the manager asked me twice if I “read what was on the menu” 🙄..That question should have been directed to whoever is posting to their social media account, not sure what the point was in asking me (other than being rude). But yes, I actually read the menu a couple of times and that’s why I decided to order it (especially because of how it looked in the video). Also, the same ingredients in the menu description were the same ingredients being shown in the video as the dish was being prepared and it had the same name and description as what was listed on the menu (all of which I READ). Reading the menu doesn’t negate the fact that someone on your team used the wrong name and description to identify what dish was being cooked in the video (ultimately misleading customers and causing the wrong dish to be ordered). I later found out the dish being made in their video should have been titled Linguine do Mare, not Linguine Aqua Pazzo (turns out both dishes have similar main ingredients so reading the menu would not make a difference — that’s probably why the mistake was made in the first place). As a manager, instead of being visibly annoyed, he should have apologized and taken full accountability for the wrong dish being advertised and expressed his frustration or disappointment to his social media manager (since this has happened before), not the customer patronizing his business. He should be more focused on preventing false advertising than trying to place blame on the guest. You never know what someone is going through so we decided to extend him grace, ignore his poor attitude and continue to enjoy our dining experience. Alexis completely empathized and said she understood how their post was misleading and she would have thought the same thing I did (that the information provided in the video was accurate and I would have no reason to think I would be receiving an entirely different dish after placing my order) and she apologized for their error. She most definitely earned her tip (that her manager almost ruined). All in all, despite that mishap, we had a great time celebrating my friend’s birthday. Thank you to, Alexis for being a wonderful waitress, the cooks who made delicious meals (the calamari was fried to perfection) and the overall staff who showed us great hospitality. SN: Not sure what happened to their signature Molto wine glasses but they were missed.

Stay far away from this place. As fyi this is literally my first review ever because it’s just not my thing but we had a reservation at 6:30pm and the girl said maybe like 30-60-90 minutes wait. Place has zero management and 18 year old girls (who I feel awful for) trying to speak with customers who all have reservations but no tables available.
Complete disaster here stay far away.

My college-age daughter and I enjoyed dinner at Molto on a busy Saterday evening in September. The restaurant was packed - very high energy, which was not unwelcome. The staff was super. The hostess that evening did a wonderful job, staying cool while managing the crowd of waiting customers who pressed into the small area around the hostess stand, clogging the passageway for servers. Our server, Danna, was charming. For food, my chicken parm was decent - score it 8 of 10. I wished it was thicker with a bit of browning on the cheese. Accompanying penne was fine. I look for silky-smooth sauce on pastas and this was more of a chunky thick sauce which rapidly lost its moisture and appeal on the plate. My daughter's "vodka pie" pizza was also fine. We didn't care for the cracker crust, which may be the local style and may have been pre-cooked. The real down note was our seating: outside and around the corner, away from any main part of the restaurant and in front of a neighboring business. This was like eating in a whole different establishment and lost all the ambiance of Molto. This overflow-type seating feels like a cynical push for higher volume at the expense of diner experience. Bad form, in my view. Never deliberately sacrifice experience. So if you are coming to Motlo for the food, don't expect to be blown away. Lots of great choices but executed for volume. If you're coming for the ambiance, hopefully you don't get seated in Guam.
The restaurant was a disaster. When we passed it half an hour before our reservation, the sidewalk in front of it was overflowing with people. It was parents' weekend at Sacred Heart, so we were expecting it to be crowded, but this was nuts. It turns out that they had accepted reservations via OpenTable, but weren't prepared for the surge. People had booked times for large parties and told they were accepted, but then shown up and there was no seating for them. There were families as large as 9 and 12 ahead of us. Everyone tried to go somewhere else, but all the other area restaurants were fully booked because of the school event. Eventually they just started giving out tables to the people that screamed at them the most. There was one woman working the greeter desk that disappeared halfway through service and I'm convinced she quit. I wouldn't blame her. Finally they started putting additional tables out on the sidewalk in front of the neighboring businesses. That worked to a point, but we ended up getting our meal under the overhang in front of a neighboring hair salon after a 45-minute wait. Part of the delay for my seating was that they had run out of chairs. This was deeply unpleasant. I would have left, but there was no other place to go.
Molto was very busy when we arrived for our reservation. It was Family Weekend at a local University. Hostess staff was extremely discombobulated and having a lot of trouble as to how to sit parties. When we did get a table and ordered food, the runners were bringing food to wrong tables. They were insisting our party ordered cheese ravioli when nobody did. Waitress explained that they brought out food for 2 tables at once and were confused. The waitress was very sweet and doing her best with the help she had. Took quite a while to get napkins and silverware as “none were rolled.” The food was excellent! We ordered 2 salads to share and then entrees. Everything was delicious! I would give Molto a try again when in town on a non event night. I think they were understaffed and overbooked on the night we were there. There didn't seem to be anyone in charge/managing what was going on to run things smoothly. Again, food was excellent which is the most important part!
Was ignored for 10 minutes upon arriving at the host area. I finally had to speak up to the 3 teenage girls standing there. The manager kept walking by ignoring me. I had to grab him 3 times to remind him that we've been waiting for a table and that we had a reservation. Once they started seating people with reservations well after ours, I spoke up again. Finally the manager sat us 45 minutes AFTER our reservation. My wife was livid at this point. The table and seats were filthy. She watch as they were not being cleaned by staff. The last straw was witnessing a food runner spill some oil in the plate with bread then picking up the bread with his hands, grab a dirty cleaning rag from the service station, wipe the spilled oil off the plate, replace the bread he was holding back onto the plate, and serving it to the table next to us. My wife said we're out of here. We then got up and left and went down the street to il Peligano and had a wonderful experience, and a delicious meal. I would never got to any of the restaurants in the Molto group again after this experience. I understand it was busier than normal, but it was as if they had zero experience in the restaurant business.
I go for the lunch pre fix and get the Salmon Pasta. Always fantastic! My daughter loves their margaritas pizza. Service is always great. Reasonably priced. Pretty fix cones with generous salad and desert. Highly reccommened!
