Great place for dining and drinks, especially when you compare it to the other establishments in the area. The best quality is the service, which is surprisingly pristine considering how busy this place gets, especially during happy hour. The place can be packed to the brim with people, and you will still get served quickly without diminishing the quality of the food/drinks. You can watch the bartenders make the drinks in front of you, and they serve you within minutes without cutting corners, before moving onto the next person. I’ve seen places half as busy, take twice as long to serve their patrons.

Very popular place here in Fairfield on Friday late afternoon in August. It has a nice outside seating area and an inside dining as well.
The shrimp was pretty bland either in cocktail or grilled. But quinoa salad was pretty good.
I would not come here for food. For drinks - yes. For social interactions - yes!
Just have a designated driver with you!

Service was friendly but horrible. Took forever to order. Waiter rarely checked in. Three out of four things came out wrong. Mashed potatoes were bland. Marinara sauce was watery.

We went out for a drive on Sunday and on the way home we were looking for a place for lunch. I remembered this place after driving by several times over the years so I said let’s check it out. We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated right away. We started with the cauliflower appetizer, it was roasted, and then tossed with buffalo sauce and blue cheese. This was the surprise hit of our lunch, it was very delicious and we ate every piece of it! It was a healthier option than having the broccoli deep-fried with a batter. Both of us ordered the chicken burger, I had mine with a side salad and my partner had his with french fries. The burger was on a huge bun and included tomato, guacamole, and pepper jack cheese. It was very good. I can’t remember our server’s name, but he was the tall thin guy and he was very professional and always had a smile when he came to our table. He was very attentive and always checking up on us to make sure everything was OK.

I wanted to give Megan and the Old Post Tavern a shout out. I rented the upstairs room for a bridal shower for my daughter. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. Megan was the coordinator for the event. They even helped carry the decorations upstairs. The buffet lunch was excellent and so was the service. The bartender took photos for us. The space itself was lovely and had two bathrooms. We were allowed to bring our own cake or cupcakes in, but they do provide dessert if you desire. The room is on the second floor, but an elevator was available if needed.
