Sally's Apizza Reviews
The worst excuse for a restaurant. Given a table then waited at least 10 minutes for the waitress. She came over and asked if we were ready to order. She then said, oh you don’t have menus. She brought menus. She asked if we ever ate here? We said no. We asked what are they known for. She said in so many words chared crust. We said we don’t care for burnt pizza. She tried to make understand their ovens are heated by coal. In my mind I said OK but I don’t like burnt crust....read full review
Catering Party @ Sally’s Apizza Fairfield
On Saturday September 13, 2025, we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The food, service and staff were phenomenal. We all know how great the pizza is, but the appetizers and salads were equally great.
I can’t say enough about the wonderful servers, Dan and Brandon. There were efficient, kind, friendly and polite. They went out of their way to insure everyone was having a great time. The bartenders and other staff went...read full review

Sally's Apizza offers the best New Haven style pizza, with excellent service and great salads. The white clam pizza with added bacon remains a favorite among customers, along with other traditional pizzas that are always great. Recently, guests have enjoyed the excellent Caesar salad, which features pickled onions and a delicious sauce. The restaurant provides an intimate and airy atmosphere, with delicious pizzas full of flavor and lots of toppings. Friendly and efficient servers make the dining experience enjoyable, although some reviews mention that service can be stretched thin during busy times. Customers often take leftovers home for lunch the next day, and many appreciate the helpful and friendly staff. Visitors enjoy the classic coal-fired pizza with a thin, charred, crispy, chewy crust, as well as a large tomato and mozzarella pizza that has the proper crust and lots of cheese. The surprisingly good wine selection adds to the experience, and the tomato sauce is highly praised. Some recommend the Firebird over the clam pizza. While there have been minor issues such as checking parking labels and delays in service, overall, the place remains popular for its great food and welcoming environment. Additionally, Sally's offers meals other than pizza, including some homemade pasta, which is highly recommended.
