Meatballs here are amazingly good. Also had the garden special (white) pizza with sausage and that too was terrific

You should have a reservation. Great food and excellent service. A little pricey, but a great night out.

Always delicious food, and the pizza at the Fairfield location is just like being in New Haven!

The worst excuse for a restaurant. Given a table then waited at least 10 minutes for the waitress. She came over and asked if we were ready to order. She then said, oh you don’t have menus. She brought menus. She asked if we ever ate here? We said no. We asked what are they known for. She said in so many words chared crust. We said we don’t care for burnt pizza. She tried to make understand their ovens are heated by coal. In my mind I said OK but I don’t like burnt crust. We waited for approximately 20 minutes for our pie to arrive. Nothing spectacular… took a couple of slices home maybe better today. The place is old and worn out, including the bathroom with no hot water and cold water that dribbles out to wash your hands. To top off total with tax and tip about $50 for 1,pizza & 1 Tiramisu. We will never return & don’t understand the hype.

I've always heard good things about Sallys and I am so happy this place lived up to its name

We ordered the excellent Ceasars salad and enjoyed every bite. The salad had pickled onions with a delicious sauce and lots of recording cheese. Followed up with a large tomato and mozzarella pizza which had the proper crust and lots of cheese

As usual, the pizza and sangria were absolutely delicious. The service was a bit off tonight—our server was friendly, but seemed stretched thin, covering tables all over the restaurant, which made it tough to flag him down when we needed something. After we paid, we waited over 10 minutes for a dessert to go and eventually had to ask another server to grab the manager. He took care of it right away and even added a second piece on the house, which we really appreciated. Overall, we were happy with our visit and loved the meal, and we're hopeful that the service will be a bit smoother next time.

We had a party of 8 for lunch on Sunday. We ordered two salads and a variety (5) small pizzas which allowed us to try different types, since some of us had not been to Sally's previously. The salads and all five pizzas were great and it was a fun meal. The location is easy to find/park, clean and service was great. They also make meals other than pizza - including some homemade pasta - highly recommended!

Excellent time at Sally's. Ordered a couple of cocktails, chopped salad and a small meatball pizza. Perfect. We also ordered a large mozzarella pizza to go home with.

Excellent chopped salad and the pizza is always outstanding at Sally's. The service at this visit was average at best however. It seemed she was given too many large parties and that took a lot of her time away from our party of two.

Second time visiting this location. They cannot seem to get their fountain soda system fixed!!There is a problem with the soda machine. Absolutely zero bubbles felt like I was drinking syrup and water. These two visits were months apart in both times the same issue with the soda. Also, their ice machine was broken. They should definitely have canned or bottled soda as an alternative in their restaurant as they do have it available for their takeout, but was not offered to us. Pizza is delicious!

Let me start by saying I love Sally's, but it is such an incredible let-down from their New Haven location. The food is similar, but the service is definitely not, which bleeds into the pizza. I have been to this location twice. The first time, the server forgot to submit an order for one of the pies. We asked the server about it when the others arrived. They said they would check on it and were not heard from again until the check arrived much later. In the meantime, we asked another server, who said that she just saw the pizza going into the oven. Not surprisingly, since she didn't know what pizza we were referring to, she was wrong. It took a follow-up discussion with the manager for them to acknowledge the forgotten order and only then finally firing the order. Everyone else was finished with their pizza by the time the person in our party received their order. They offered dessert for our troubles, which we politely declined. This trip, they accidentally cooked our tomato pie without the parmesan, which we noticed before taking a slice. Our server apologized and had someone behind the counter sprinkle parmesan on top. Since we were with people we didn't know well and had never tried Sally's before, we just ate the compromised version of their famous tomato pie. It was an easy decision to re-fire the pizza since they messed up. I will never return to this sad representation of a national treasure.

Our party was less than impressed with the quality of the pizza we ordered. We found the pies to lack taste, spice and the burrata and basil was sparce ( we ordered the spicy little meatball and the basil burrata). We've been to this restaurant before with similar results (the first time when the restaurant was new and we caulked it up to it being new and had not reached it stride). We probably will not try it again. Disappointing.

Catering Party @ Sally’s Apizza Fairfield On Saturday September 13, 2025, we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The food, service and staff were phenomenal. We all know how great the pizza is, but the appetizers and salads were equally great. I can’t say enough about the wonderful servers, Dan and Brandon. There were efficient, kind, friendly and polite. They went out of their way to insure everyone was having a great time. The bartenders and other staff went a long way to help make everyone enjoy the party. I also want to thank the General Manager, James Layfield and the Catering Manager, Helen Blanchard for their exceptional service and hospitality. Sally’s Apizza @ Fairfield deserves a 5 star rating for making our event the success it was. Thanks so much
