I had never been here before, and I’ve lived here 22 years and this place looks so cute so I popped in! I walked in, place is deserted and no one behind the counter. Rows of candy. An older man whom I assume is the owner eventually appeared… Extremely gruff manner and acted as if I was bothering him even being in there. Some of the ice cream that I saw in the case looked old and melted - so I left. Not sure that I will be back. Shame because it looks so attractive from outside.

I think this place used to be fun, I’ve heard people talk about it fondly, but it is very subpar and expensive. We came for the ice cream, the freezer clearly wasn’t working well and the ice cream was partially melted. The candy is poorly displayed and the bulk candy looks unappetizing. The tables outside were random and kind of seemed like they were just collected from garage sales or something. I love Fairfield and I want small businesses to succeed, so I would love it if this place made a comeback and cleaned up and became a cute destination for ice cream and candy. But right now, I was honestly so disappointed that I apologized to my guests I brought here because I had heard it was much better than it actually was. I really do hope it turns around and becomes nice again.

I loved the look of the shop, very nostalgic. The workers were very nice and patient. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. Loved their ice cream flavors. Rum n’ raisins was my favorite. Great place! I recommend them 1000%.

Grumpy older oaf (owner I assume) is a NIGHTMARE - recommend people go to sunny daes or another local joint. My mother and I (both adults) went in and asked if they have small cups of whipped cream for dogs. He didn’t answer, so we asked again, and he said rudely and loudly “what’s the magic word?” repeatedly, then said over and over again, “you say please, the magic word is please.” We hadn’t ordered anything yet, simply tried to ask a question. Not surprised the shop was empty - chiding and being condescending to adults isn’t a good business strategy. We’ll never walk in there again and recommend others don’t either (other reviews said he’s equally nasty to children).

Went with my daughter and husband. We both got the creamsicle which was very good. But the staff was overwhelmed which caused the guy that was serving us to have an attitude and it showed. He was rushing us and we weren't able to fully see the menu and flavors.

Great ice cream!!! Got 2 scoops pistachios and Nutella with whipped cream toppings. Delicious!!!

I grew up having ice cream from Rich’s farm in Oxford, so I’m used to the good stuff over the big name brands. Since I moved to this area Saugatuck Sweets is my go to for real ice cream. The owner always recognizes our family and even remembers my order!
Clearly still open guy working was incredibly rude and dismissive claiming they were closed because he wanted to close early. Would never go back

I was in town with my children and they wanted to eat at a more popular ice cream place but I thought I would support a small business like this but my kid was treating and we walked inside and the owner immediately told us that we cannot come in with our ice cream. I mentioned to him that I wanted to support a small business and my kid was treating me for the day and I wanted to get something from here and he repeatedly told me well. I'm sorry they're not allowed in here so I never got to try the place I should have just ate at the more popular place and didn't care about supporting local businesses.

I popped in the other day for some ice cream on a super hot day and fell in live with the vibe and decor. Mom and pop ran treat place. There's an entire wall dedicated to all kinds of goodies.
We were greeted by high school kids (I'm guessing) who were super friendly and polite. I ordered the cappuccino chip yogurt and it was delicious!
Parking is located behind the building in a free garage.
