Above average Chinese restaurant

Went during lunch with their lunch set

+1 star for the laziji dish which closely match the original (more crispy than other nearby Chinese restaurants)

Highly would recommend. Truly authentic Sichuan food. We ordered the Fu Chi Pian, Chong Qing Chicken, and spicy sour cowpea fish and all were 10/10. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Review say its great and menu seems the most authentic I've had.

The flavor of schezuan pepper is unmistakable. Authentic. But for my palate, waaay too salty.

May have been the dried shredded beef, but wife's chicken schezuan was also also over salty.

Fix that and its a winner.

I heard great things about this place. The food is wonderful but the service sucked. For a place that was empty, when we arrived, it took forever for our food to come out and it was one dish at a time. First items were cold by the time the second item came out. It felt like a new restaurant trying to get their act together. This location was better when it was a crappy dive bar.

While they have the ordinary Chinese food, they also have a large variety of unusual dishes, everything very well prepared.
The service is above and beyond.
All in all, it's a winner.

I ordered Kung Pao Chicken to go. The chicken was probably 30% gristle. I called the restaraunt to let them know, Jim the manager explained that that is how authentic Kung Pao is served. Mmm gristle.

All the food was fresh and well prepared. Good balance of seasonings. The chicken with mushrooms and bok choy was excellent.

The food was a mixed bag - overall mediocre but the hot and sour soup was the worst I’ve ever had. Not worth the higher prices.

Food was not good at all. We had the wonton soup, scallion pancakes with beef, kung Pao chicken and pork with bamboo shoots. The soup tasted like they just added salt and pepper. Scallion pancakes were ok but not a lot of flavor and both entrees tasted bad. I should've known not to go in there when I noticed it was empty
