Sophie’s has to be the best spot on Fairfield black rock. The combination of Atmosphere , food, and service is unbeatable. Scott , the manager, made it feel like home and you can tell every worker was proud to work there. Every dish is 10/10 and every bartender is making a perfect cocktail every time.

Stopped in for dinner with friends and we really enjoyed our meal. I had the meatball parmigiana sandwich and my girlfriend had the chicken Marsala. Both meals were excellent. The food and service were both excellent.

I am extremely disappointed as I was looking forward to a nice happy hour with my friends. The manager refused to serve us drinks, unless we had a second form of ID with a picture and a birthday on it. (Meaning a credit card wouldn’t work) What I want to know is who would typically carry a second form of ID with a photo on it to a restaurant? We are all very respectful, well over 21 year olds and It is honestly very disrespectful. They should have a better system down. Do they expect me to carry my passport around? On top of this, the environment was extremely awkward as every single employee was staring at us.

This has quickly become one of my favourite spots for happy hour or dinner. They have an amazing happy hour with half off all alcohol and some light bites. For dinner, I love the vodka pasta or their Caesar salad. The chicken parm is also amazing and their portions are very generous. Their drinks are also so delicious. Love the Frenchie and any of their creative espresso martinis.

I am not one to write reviews, but I had to after my experience. I came into dinner with very high expectations from what others had told me about Sophie’s (maybe that’s where I went wrong). My friend had driven from Massachusetts, and I wanted to take us to a nice place for dinner. The service started off great but quickly declined as we waited 25 minutes for our order to be taken. We had three different servers throughout the evening, the first of which was a bartender. He took our appetizer order but we never saw him after that. I had to flag down a separate waiter to take our food order. The food itself was very poor for $25-30/dish. I ordered the chicken parm alla vodka. Mind you, it was 8:00 until we ordered our food (our reservation was at 7:15), and it took less than 5 minutes for our food to come out. That told me everything I needed to know about the food before I even tasted it. The food was clearly not made fresh as the dish was lukewarm, and the cheese had a rubbery texture from solidifying from sitting for so long. Very disappointed in the overall experience tonight. Paying $75 for 2 main dishes and an appetizer is expected when having top-tier food and service, except that this was far from that.

I’m literally obsessed with this place! lol I love their fried calamari and eggplant parmigiana. The service is consistently the best!
