Last weekend I me and my family had our very first experience with authentic Nepali cuisine, and let me tell you β€” what a ride! We visited Taste of Everest in Fairfield and the whole evening turned out to be a perfect mix of flavors, hospitality, and comfort.

πŸ”Έ Starters & First Impressions
We kicked things off with the Chicken Kurkure β€” crispy, crunchy, and bursting with spice and texture. It set the tone beautifully for the evening. The ambience was calm, relaxing, and just right for a family dinner β€” nothing loud or distracting, just pure focus on good food and good vibes.

πŸ”Έ Main Course Highlights
For mains, we tried:

Kukhura Ko Masu – a traditional Nepali chicken curry, and hands down the highlight of the evening. The flavors were bold, rustic, and absolutely lip-smacking.

Butter Chicken – creamy, rich, and perfectly paired with their Butter Roti.

Mutton Dum Biryani – generous in portion, aromatic, and packed with flavor.

One thing worth highlighting β€” the portion sizes were amazing for every dish we ordered, making it a fantastic value along with the quality and taste.

πŸ”Έ Sweet Ending
To wrap things up, we tried Gajar Ka Halwa and Mango Lassi. The halwa was warm, comforting, and just the right level of sweet, while the lassi was refreshing and smooth β€” a perfect balance after such a hearty meal.

πŸ”Έ Service & Hospitality
What really made the evening special was the service. We were lucky to be attended by the main person running the restaurant himself. He was genuinely warm, patient, and extremely helpful in guiding us β€” especially since it was our first dive into Nepali food. His suggestions were spot on, and you could see his passion not just for the food, but also for ensuring every guest had a great experience.

πŸ’‘ Final Thoughts
If you’re into Indian, Pakistani, Nepali, or really any kind of Asian cuisine, Taste of Everest is a must-visit. From the food quality and generous portions to the ambience and heartfelt hospitality, everything was top-notch. This wasn’t just dinner β€” it felt like a cultural experience.

Would I recommend it? 100% yes.
Would I go back? Already planning the next visit. πŸ™Œ

Amazing authentic Nepalese cuisine! The chilly momo here is absolutely the best, perfectly seasoned dumplings . The wrapper is tender yet holds together well, and the filling is incredibly flavorful.

One of the best biryanis I’ve had in Connecticut! Their goat dum biryani is on another level, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. I also tried the momo and chicken thali, which were delicious as well. Highly recommend this place πŸ’•

I ordered the Classic Goat Curry and Butter Naan, and both were really good! The curry was flavorful and well-cooked, and the naan was soft and tasty. Definitely recommend trying this place if you enjoy authentic flavors.πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

My family and I recently dined in at Taste of Everest - Fairfield for the first time, and it was incredible! The food was so tasty (definitely get their spicy vegetable and chicken momos, lasuni gobi, chef's chicken kurkure, biryani, dal makhani, and ras malai - those were our favorites!). The service was also incredible, smiles all around even during rush hour. If you have a larger party (we had 5), I'd recommend calling the restaurant to give them a heads up as the restaurant itself has limited seating but it is an absolute gem. So excited to make our way back again to experience the wonderful food and staff. 10/10 recommend!!!!

One of my favorite spots in Fairfield with the most delicious Indian and Nepalese dishes. I recommend the Chicken Korma and the Kukhura Ko Masu, and the garlic rosemary naan. Everything I've ordered has always been excellent. It's a small place and best for ordering take out, but they do have a few tables and I enjoyed meeting a friend for dinner there once too.
