As I was in the middle of purchasing an item, a customer walks in and asks the cashier processing my order, if she can purchase her item because “her train was coming”. The cashier immediately, and abruptly left me in the middle of completing my transaction to take hers.🤯 I had a train that was arriving shortly too! Even when I told the cashier this, she didn’t budge and continued taking the other woman’s order. It took another cashier to complete my transaction, WOW! What kind of customer service is that?!?! You cannot assume the customer you’re servicing isn’t in a hurry too. Even if they’re not, that still does not make it acceptable for their order to be replaced for someone else. I would never expect my order to take priority over a customer who was there first no matter my circumstance. That was beyond rude and distasteful on both the customer and cashier behalf! It’s hard not to consider the possibility of “race” being involved, being that I was the only customer there that didn’t look like everyone else.👋🏾

The breakfast sandwiches are usually very good but otherwise some pastries can be hit or miss. I had a muffin a couple of weeks ago as it was burnt on the edges. I threw it out…terrible. The croissants are always excellent. Stay away from the breakfast quesadilla.
They used to make a really great Cortado but in the past 6 months or so it's been more like a small latte... way too much milk. They serve it in an 8oz cup and I’m guessing 4 oz milk, 2 of espresso. It was definitely NOT equal parts milk and espresso.

Wow. I was so looking forward to visiting this coffee shop, as I like to try new spots in the area as frequently as I can. I was “greeted” with a teen at the register with an AirPod in, texting away and taking selfies. I made a comment and he said, “the boss isn’t here right now.” Hope this isn’t the kind of business you are running and that your employees don’t respect you if that’s the case. Cold brew was decent, but unfortunately won’t be returning due to the poor service.

I’ve lived in this area for a while and frequent the train station quite often but today was my first time at this cafe.
It’s absolutely gorgeous inside, the music is great and the service was exceptional. I ordered an egg and cheese (loved the pretzel bun) and an iced matcha latte. I’m not sure what happened but I was served a hot matcha latte instead. I notified the server and he remade it immediately and even offered me the hot one that was accidentally made. To my surprise I enjoyed the hot one more so I’ll definitely order that one next time!
It’s really a great spot especially if you need to get some work done. I’ll probably be a regular, definitely going back!
I had a Cortado and the steak & cheese sandwich. The Cortado was divine, and when I say the steak and cheese was the best I’ve ever had, I don’t say that lightly. I’ve had cheesesteaks all over the country (yes, including at THOSE places in Philly); I don’t know how Wake Cup packs so much flavor into its delightfully juicy steak. Hot and juicy steak with melty cheese on a pretzel bun? Yes, please!
