Chang-An Chinese Restaurant Reviews
This appears externally as any other take-out style Americanized Chinese restaurant, and we entered on a whim. We have tried many such places around New York and Massachusetts, but this place was a pleasant surprise as the food was above expectations. It tasted fresh and not over-saturated in salt, with a pleasant flavor. It lacked the usual excessive grease of most similar places, and the cost of the meal far undervalued its quality.
C'mon man. Y'all know what you're getting into here! It's a Chinese takeout place, not P.F. Chang-An. There's a few tables to sit at, and if you do, they will serve you on real plates - admirable for a bargain basement place like this. And every time it's at least good food. Cheap lunch specials, food comes out quick. It's a good choice for fatty, salty, sugary food.
Typical Chinese take-out. Nothing was particularly great, but nothing was horrible either. We had the Sweet & Sour chicken, a Chicken Teriyaki appetizer, a pint of the Hot & Sour soup, and a Roast Pork Egg Roll. Like I stated above, nothing really stood out, Chang-An is your typical, average takeout Chinese place. We'd stop back again if we were in the area and hungry, but I wouldn't go out of my way either. Place was a bit dingy too.
