Very nice and clean old fashioned (classy) restaurant. I've been there 3 times in the last month and every time it was very quiet (great place for a date if you want to chat), the prices are reasonable, service was good, food was excellent and they have a great dessert menu. I have driven by this place for years and I'm glad I finally stopped there.

Food was good and the wait staff friendly. Decor needs to be updated.

Bad atmosphere, food was ok... The fish had bones... But I enjoyed the noodles. Service was confusing and the hostess was very rude to my mother in law. But overall my table enjoyed there meals.

I have always loved Modesto's and have never had a single bad experience. I hope to return there again one day! Such a lovely place and such great food AND only minutes from family!

I was disappointed with the enchiladas. The visual display, crucial to the culinary experience, was somewhat lacking in this entree. Rather than distinct enchiladas, beans, rice, and greens, arrayed on a single plate like an artist's palette of color, to delight the eye, the enchiladas were cut up into a mishmash of greens and buried in the midst. The rice came later, on a separate plate, several minutes AFTER I had already started the meal, and therefore it was missing at the critical moment of commencement of the meal. (Somehow the server did not know the two plates were a set, and should be served simultaneously.) The beans were in a little tub, as if a mere garnish or dressing (in parentheses). And it is not just the visual display that was lacking. The gustatory experience was subpar, as the diner was precluded from sampling separate flavors in the dish (as I prefer to do). I was unable to taste an enchilada uncontaminated by "foreign" flavors. The enchillada was cut up into small pieces, as if to feed a young child or an elderly person sans dentures. When I checked on the Internet for images of enchiladas, I saw most chefs lay the intact enchiladas on a bed of greens, not cut up and mixed together. But the desserts, however, were excellent. There is quite a dessert tray.

Prime Rib, Tornados alla Moran (sliced Filet Mignon), delicious!

Their Mexican is surprisingly good for an Italian/Mexican restaurant. Had their stuffed poblano which was delicious. Staff was attentive. Will definitely come back!

My favorite restaurant. Delicious fresh food and excellent service. Had my birthday lunch there, surprised by an amazing fudgy dessert with a candle and song.
