I've been coming to this bakers dozen for years, and I've never had a problem until recently. New staff must've been hired, and nobody can make a decent coffee. The first one they had made tastes like burnt coffee, and it wasn't even the right size. When i went back and said something, she said "oh is the right coffee i just made it a medium." I had asked for a large. The second one they had made didn't even have cream in it, and they tried to say it did. I wouldn't take it because I know what a coffee looks like with cream in it, and when I said something about it, I heard the girl that made it say, "JESUS just remake it." Not very professional, and I won't be coming here any longer. This place is too expensive for this kind of attitude and terrible coffee.
The norwich bakers will be my new coffee spot. They replaced my terrible coffee and didn't charge me when I explained what happened at the gales ferry location. I was very impressed with the staff in norwich.

Please train your staff on how to make coffee and steam milk correctly. Worst coffee ever and I actually went back another time thinking it mite if been just a bad day but nope, they all need to be retrained. I waited at the counter while 3 employees ignored me to work on drive thru, horrible service, horrible coffee and snotty emoloyees and have the nerve to have a tip cup out!!!!..heres a tip for you...retrain your staff....not a good look

Of all the places in southern Connecticut to get doughnuts this place has become our family favorite. The staff is awesome and if you haven't tried the fat boy....get ready for everything you want in a breakfast sandwich. You want Chipotle mayo with that? Of course you do

Best coffee shop downtown in Gales Ferry. Service is great, the staff is a lovely bunch and very nice, as well as, accommodating. The food is delicious. I highly suggest the Nutcracker coffee during the winter, with the cold foam. 10/10 drink. During the hotter months, I order a medium iced Snickers 4 cream 4 Splenda.That's another great thing, they have a HUGE selection of flavors. There's seating it's very minimal, but you can sit. It is attached to the Gas station. I would say if you want a coffee and a donut/breakfast sandwich, skip the line a dunkin' fakenuts and go to Bakers Dozen. It's worth the money(which is very inexpensive)and have a quality product.
Bakers Dozen is a franchise I’ve been dining with since I was young. The food has always been quality, the staff friendly, and the drinks refreshing. I was so happy to have Gales Ferry open, and I frequently use them for my morning rush or afternoon guilty pleasure donut. The prices are all very reasonable and compared to other competing stores it feels like a much more friendly environment. The staff is always asking what they can do to improve my experience, and I always say that it is just fine. Whether driving through, or walking in you’re guaranteed great coffee and even better service.

Staff is sometimes friendly, sometimes not. We order here regularly, and are often left feeling as though we order wrong. The lady at the register somehow makes you think you could have done something better when buying their food. Nitpicks her customers ordering process. For premade and sometimes reheated food, essentially subpar food that should at least be a quick and convenient experience, becomes mildly irritating and inconvenient. A smile and thank you would go a long way.Not coming back. We’ll rather drive farther for a better experience.
