“I had the carne asada street tacos and Al Pastor. This is by far the best street tacos i have had in Connecticut near the Submarine base. I am 100% coming back for more again before leaving Connecticut. 20-30 because i had 6 tacos and a mexican coke.”

“I was surprised at the variety of food served. My friend and I ordered grinders, and they were good. The service was great, and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch. I've had take out pizzas from Village Pizza that were excellent. Many people here don't know that this is a sit-down restaurant. The owner was our server and cook.”

The wonderful people that work and run things are amazing with our kiddos and the service has been stellar. “Need some coffee in the morning? Forget about Dunkin and Starbucks! The Baker's Dozen has TONS of flavors to choose from. I mixed and matched coconut / carmel which was really good. Service was quick and cashier was helpful in picking a flavor.”

“Our waiter Randi was one of the most fun and nicest waiters I’ve ever had. She chatted with us a bit while taking our order and let out positive energy. The food was great with good seafood and fabulous wings which we ate while watching march madness. The atmosphere was also great with a seaside vibe a nice bar and pretty lights.”

“Many restaurants will charge high prices to create an aura of quality and fine dining, only to disappoint when it comes down to eating. Shipwright's Daughter is not that place. The prices are on the high side but wow, do they deliver. Four adults, four very different entrees and everyone left with all smiles. My beef strip loin was cooked perfectly and everything that accompanied it was tasty. Some signature cocktails were discounted for the 5 - 6 pm happy hour and were, again, delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive without overtaking the conversation. If your taste buds deserve a holiday this place is worth a visit.”

“Def lived up to the expectations! The line was almost always out the door and we can see why.The ham and cheese croissant was so good, even hours after we got it. Also ordered the blueberry muffin and the chocolate chip cookie - amazing! The coffee was okay too... Youngbuns across the street has the same coffee, and it wasn't as busy.Overall, a delicious bakery and worth the wait!”

“I tried Vincitori for the first time and the Shepherds pizza was DELICIOUS! The pork was amazing and the pineapple and salsa added a great touch on the taste buds. I wish this could stay on the menu forever! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be trying this place again.”

“Had the crème brule French toast and eggs Benedict at our Easter brunch and both were outstanding. The ladies of the wait staff worked so well together and made our visit a joy. My husband said that the eggs Benedict were as delicious as those he had at Commanders Palace in New Orleans years ago….complements to the chef!”

“We had a lovely time . Clara was amazing , explained the menu and drink options very sweet. Also very hygenic she left our table spotless after every round of food also very patient.. We where there for 1.5 hours. It happened to be happy hour, but the atmosphere was very laid back ,chill.The Pupusas are authentic the drinks are unique and tasty. All the food we ate was really good. It was a nice getaway from Boston. Really nice place. I felt classy for once! Ha”

“When Pigs Fly is a great breakfast location offering new breakfast specials every week and they have a Coffee Bar! Yup unlimited pour your own coffee buffet. Special pancakes and french toast are my go-to they bake the French toast breads in house and usually have seasonal flavors. Must try if you are in the area they also have a sister restaurant in Mystic, Connecticut named “Somewhere In Time cafe” if that's closer to your stay. Be prepared to wait in lines on the weekend. This place is very popular with the locals. But overall great breakfast”

“I loved this restaurant. It is a fun and lively environment. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered the sea scallop risotto and the lamb chops as our main courses, they were both fantastic. For appetizers we got the ricotta bruschetta and white sauce mussels, also very good. The wait for our food was quite long but it was a busy night.”

“One of the best restaurants in Mystic. Unfortunately after they renovated they got rid of the complementary bread and cornbread, but there food has consistently been fantastic. There service is usually slow though.”

“This place is a solid breakfast place. I was surprised they open at 5am. As I sat and ate my spicy omelette I saw numerous people come and go. Many I noticed were regulars and were greeted by 1st name. Meals came out fast.”

“Ordered the meatball pizza and the risotto balls, and a loaf of sour dough bread to go! Pizza was really good unique to have a sour dough crust! I loved it. The bread is awesome too. Thick hard crust and soft delicious center!”

“When we were booking our stay at the Mohegan Sun, I wanted to make reservations for somewhere special and I picked the MJ steakhouse. The MJ steakhouse did not disappoint. Their team of hostesses and waiters were awesome. I had a few of their "air" -spressos (pic attached) which were delicious. My bf and I shared the Flight 23 and an order of their mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. All of the meat was cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious as well. Their special dessert of the night was creme brulee and it was to die for! Highly recommend this place!”

“I came here on a whim and I am so glad I did! The barista (whom I think is an owner) was so approachable, friendly, knowledge, and above all welcoming. His suggestions were on point, and he really thought about what I said before making a suggestion.The coffee: salted caramel iced coffee with a little cream... Chef's kiss!I was going to take my coffee and muffins to go but the lure of nerd books, comfy couches, and chill music drew me in.i can't remember the last time I actually sat and drank coffee in a coffee shop, but I couldn't pass this opportunity up!I honestly don't write reviews but I feel the need to let others know how great this place is! I will most definitely be back!Parking: This is a strip mall that use to be a school. Parking is where the busses use to line up. Worse case there is more parking across the street, and there are crosswalks.Kid-friendliness: There are some kids toys in the corner, and books for adults too. The couches are low and comfortable.”
