“Feels Like Home – Amazing Cantonese Food! Golden Palace in Connecticut is hands down one of the best Cantonese restaurants I’ve been to. Their dim sum is so authentic — just like the kind you’d get in Hong Kong or southern China. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. What really makes this place special is the people. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming — every time I come here, I feel like I’m back home in China. “Excellent bar with a surprising food selection. Have been going here for years. Same look inside. Rustic. Delicious Southwestern Salad with grilled chicken. Perfectly cooked chicken, crisp lettuce, better than any sit down restaurant. Great venue for bands, including Aquanett who gave a great concert on 4/18/26.”

“Love Ballo but really disappointed with how much the menu keeps changing. They charge now for house bread and took off the garlic bread. Got rid of shrimp scampi. Now got rid of chicken francaise which was Amazing there and our go to. Also used to have an amazing cheese and meat platter appetizer and that was removed. Wish some of those would be put back on. With so much change there really isn’t anything appealing to me now. This was our spot for anniversaries, birthdays, and lots of date nights.”

Wifey escorted me directly to Ben and Jerry's once she saw it and I knew right away I was in for a sugar high😵‍💫. Oh well... Let the licking begin. Salted Caramel Blondie for and whatever for her. My cone was stacked so high, I got dizzy just looking at it 🤗. Boom! In a word... Delicious!”

Coffee comes strong and a tall coffee is exactly that! They also ensure you do not burn your hands. Is often a very cheerful lady (with a great taste in Puerto Rican music) there whose politeness and level of service is extraordinary”

“My wife and in were headed to the casinos from out of town. We prefer not to eat at the casinos (we find the resuraunts there overpriced and crowded) we stopped here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. This place is a true hidden gem. From the front the building looks very industrial but once you go around thenside you are greeted by an awesome koi pond/fountain. Once you get inside the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food w as excellent (we had their vision of of a pu-pu platter and a side of porknfriend rice. The portions were huge and the food arrived nice and hot. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We are making it a point to stop back here when we return to the area.

Update: we have returned a year later and once again had a wonderful experience. Very nice staff and the food came out HOT. Portions are still big. Great value.”

“Some of the best picture perfect Chinese food I’ve ever had! The pork and shrimp wonton soup had actual homemade wontons and was very delicious. The general tso chicken was crispy and very flavorful the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return. Side note the portions are massive and in turn the prices are a bit up there but you definitely get what you pay for so go with a group of people.”
