I was actually licking my fingers because the sauce was sooo good. I must add the decor was beautiful. “There is one thing and one thing only you're going to do here: Get an amazing grinder. Sure, they have other sandwiches that are good, and an array of breakfast items and homemade mayo-based salads that are also top-notch, but their grinders are legendary in an area that literally invented the grinder (really, look it up).

They're absolutely huge and crammed full of fresh ingredients. The mother-and-daughter team that runs the place are friendly and provide rapid fire service... necessary in a tiny place that routinely has lines out the door.

Be aware of the one drawback: Hamilton Market closes at 3 pm and does not open on weekends. This place is strictly breakfast and lunch, and most of the clientele consists of folks on their way to work or on their break. However, if you do want the magic of their grinders outside these hours, they do a big catering business too.”

“01.30.25 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' featuring Apathy- The Dutch Tavern 23 Green St ❤️ City of New London, CT ❤️ I ordered and reviewed their Cheese Steak Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Red Potato Salad. Apathy had a Cheeseburger with Red Potato Salad and Broccoli Cheddar soup. The big question is, "How was this Spot"?👎🏾👍🏾💣 Well I was pleasantly surprised that the place was booming when we walked in, I loved the whole atmosphere, the Owner and cook named Tim was very talkative and friendly to my Brotha Apathy and I. To top it all off he served us both delicious sandwiches👍🏾👍🏾, potatoes salad👍🏾 and broccoli and cheddar soup👍🏾. The Dutch Tavern is a great little spot, a hidden gem in the City of New London and I am glad that I finally found it!! You really need to get your *as down there Right away!👍🏾😏 Thanks Dutch Tavern! “They gave me a choice of yes or no as to whether or not I would recommend them. Of course I said yes, but unfortunately, we did experience something that was unfortunate. We were a party of eight, one of us being a three-year-old. They sat us in the bar at a large table, and my grandson was seated between his parents. We arrived at noon, knowing we wanted to be quick because we had a three year-old with us. My grandson did really good. He had one or two episodes where he cried, but overall pretty good. Unfortunately, the table setting next to us made a comment to their waitress saying that children shouldn’t be in the restaurant and their waitress replied, yeah I know, that’s why I don’t have any. Then as we were leaving a group at the bar had something to say about kids should stay home. It was Easter Sunday, we were there about an hour total simply because we knew a three-year-old wouldn’t last long. The food was awesome. Our waitress was outstanding, but I would suggest not putting children in the bar area. It was disappointing hearing the other waitress agree with the table next to us that children shouldn’t be there. My grandson stayed seated between his parents and their focus was not on the meal. Their focus was keeping him busy and happy. To the lady at the table next to us and the loud mouth at the bar please remember you were once a child. Texas Roadhouse is family friendly so if you don’t like children don’t go to a family friendly restaurant, respectfully of course!”

“Tonight I ordered the Hunan Beef, and it was absolutely amazing! The best Hunan Beef I've ever had! It's nothing like what I've tried at other restaurants.Also the lady at the front desk provided excellent service too, and I didn't have to wait long.”

Llegamos aproximadamente a las 12:15 pm. e hicimos nuestro pedido de tragos y nuestro almuerzo. Una demora total: media hora para que lleguen los tragos y a las 2:00 pm. recién nos llegó el almuerzo. Llegó mucha gente y varios de ellos se fueron después de esperar más de una hora. Si van a tener una mayor carga de trabajo, contraten más personal aunque sea por ese día. Una cliente se quejo de la demora y uno de sus trabajadores dijo que no tenían personal, a lo cual ella respondió que le hubieran dicho eso desde el inicio y no después de esperar más de una hora. Tenía razón. En otra mesa, se olvidaron del pedido de una de las comensales, tuvo que comer del plato de su esposo. A la gente les gusta su sazón, pero corrijan por favor, el hecho de que cada cliente debe esperar como mínimo media hora para recibir su pedido. No es mi intención decirles como deben manejar su negocio, pero tengan más respeto por el cliente, que somos nosotros los que damos vida, ingresos y movimiento a esta empresa. “I am not from the area and was in town to do some shopping. My boyfriend and I decided to try some takeout here instead of back at home. I am so glad we did. Don’t tell my local favorite takeout but China Express has the best crab Rangoon I’ve ever had. We also got sesame, chicken and General Tso chicken, lo mein, boneless spare ribs, and a couple of egg rolls. We ended up with more egg rolls than I expected. This is good because their eggrolls are excellent. They are so fresh and they are not greasy. The chicken dishes were also both very good. We got a ton of food for the money we spent and will be able to eat it again tomorrow. Thank you guys so much. We will be back next time we are shopping in New London.”

The menus is diverse, and food and drinks are always good and presented professionally. The dining atmosphere is pleasant with table cloths, and low lighting on each table.
