“Was very disappointed when we took friends of ours there and told them how good the bread was but when we ordered from Jack was told the bread now costs and yet we were there two weeks ago and bread was offered. Also we had to ask Jack what the specials were and he acted put out. What a change from two weeks ago with waiter Greg who was awesome”

“We just took my daughter for her 17th birthday, she originally wanted sushi. She looked at the menu and immediately changed her mind and chose to try her first seafood boil! She absolutely LOVED IT! The servers are fast and friendly and the food is GREAT! She chose snow crab legs and black mussels, my boyfriend had a crab cluster combo and I had a sausage boil combo. Everything was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. We will 100% be coming back!!!! Highly recommend!”

“Lovely Irish pub great food, great service tons of beers on tap if that’s your thing (always rotating). Biggest thing—delicious food. Really nice sandwiches/wings. Stop here probably once a year or so on the way to “gamble” (play Mario Kart 64 with my gassy friends in a Foxwoods hotel room)—don’t stop anywhere else on the way to “gamble””

“Food is always fresh, delicious, and quick. The atmosphere is friendly and laid. Try a mango jalapeños margarita!! (It’s not on the menu but it’s delicious)”

“The food was honestly really good. I ordered the bok choy ginger with chicken, my dad had the Japanese curry with shrimp, and my mom got the shrimp teriyaki. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned.

The only drawback was the fruit flies. There were a lot of them, and it took away from the overall dining experience. If it weren’t for that, this would’ve easily been a 5-star stop.”

“Had a nice birthday lunch there and tried the excellent Scallops with mushroom risotto. Soups and desserts all made in house. I enjoyed my meal looking out at the water. The restaurant has been remodeled and is beautifully decorated.”

“Not much to look at from the outside, but very deceiving. Our dinner was excellent. My husbands muscles were served perfectly. And, I had the best and most unusual salad. And our server, Adam, was by far the best ever. Olio is lucky to have him.”

“I work in the same plaza; my coworkers and I tried them for the first time today… Amazing! Be sure to stop in for a lunch menu. Their sandwiches are phenomenal. I had the shrimp one and my boss had the steak. Another person had the pork stew and the other had something from the dinner menu (not sure what). We all raved about the portions and deliciousness. A must try!!”

“Lovely meal, as always (very delicious pork tenderloin) atmosphere and staff are great, however, after ordering a scotch on the rocks, we were VERY surprised to be charged $2.75 for the 'rocks'!! The ice in the water is free, and there's complimentary bread and oil, so charging for 3 ice cubes seemed pretty stiff. Lesson learned - next time (and there will be a next time, because this is a great restaurant) we'll use the rocks that come free in the water!”

“Arrived in town and craving a good chowder. While here we also ordered the crab cakes and grilled swordfish. Done to perfection with excellent seasoning. Heirloom tomato and watermelon salad was a great starter. This hotel restaurant did not disappoint.”

“Went for lunch on a week day. Hostess was on the phone had to wait to be seated. A wait: to receive menu, get beer, order food and receive food. After server cleared some dishes waited for bill. Server was BSing 5 minutes with a customer leaving. Total time spent waiting a bit over 35 minutes out of a total spent there, one hour and 15 minutes.”

I looked up Birria tacos near me and this restaurant popped up. my daughter said they were delicious. i had gotten a steak torta amongst other things lol and OMG 10/10 💯 will be going again.And the customer service AMAZING”

“This is a hidden gem, don't let the exterior strip mall front distract or deter you. This is a local place with great food and an inclusive atmosphere. We drove 13 hours from Detroit and felt immediately at home. Thanks to Marcela our waitress.”

“1st visit ever yesterday, one of the best wraps I have ever had. Chicken falafel was what I went for but it was hard not try many of the other choices, great customer service, and fast , fresh fried falafel went on the wrap last in less than 2-3 minutes max. Great girls, politeness and smiles are always a plus. Top notch across the board 10 outta 10 ⭐ Thanks for an amazing lunch , coming back with the wife today!!!”

City of Groton, CT I am so glad that I was tipped off about this small spot by a fan because I have just discovered another 'Big Al's 💎 Gem Spot'. I walked into a warm welcome from the owner Margaret, who was also my server and she was such a sweet lady with a great personality. She was so friendly and great with all her customers and I sat there smiling the whole time. Buford's does not have a huge FB following with just over 1k followers but it is truly an Amazing Hidden 💎 Gem breakfast spot of Groton!❤️ I walked in the door ready to eat so I ordered and reviewed a couple popular menu items: 1. Western Omelet w/Home fries & wheat toast $13.00 💣 2. Buford's Big Breakfast w/pancakes $13.20 💣 The service and atmosphere of Buford's is very laid back, comfortable and when it comes to the food they don't disappoint! I started with the Western Omelet and I ate quite a bit of it because it was the bomb 💣 I knew that I couldn't finish all the food so I moved on to those fluffy delicious pancakes with two easy over eggs, Home fries, crispy bacon and sausage patty. It was all amazingly Dope and easily earned a bomb 💣 as well! I had an amazing experience at Buford's and I understand why the fans have shared great experiences dining there. “What a great place!!! I had sautéed portobello mushroom spinach and cheese sandwich which was delicious. They also had something I’ve never seen fluffernutter ice cream which was amazingly delicious. The place was adorable with the soda counter brought back lots of good memories. I love the sign that said no WiFi talk to someone :)”

“I’m not one to go to Italian restaurants because my expectations are elevated and I’m usually disappointed, but this one is truly my first chef’s kiss! 👨‍🍳💋 If you go, be prepared… it’s a little pricy, but I’ve no issues with paying for an exemplary meal. -Veronica makes both red & white sangrias and they are the BEST in SE Ct!! -every dish, and I mean every.single.plate is made by one chef, Carmine (not a team of kitchen staff) so you’ll be waiting a bit, but I promise, it’s worth the wait. -the menu is authentic Italian cuisine. We tried the octopus salad, spaghetti carbonara, chicken marsala, penne boscaiola, and Sam had penne & meatballs. All of these dishes were fresh and clean tasting and full of flavor. You can honestly taste the love. We all felt as if we were in their home. -get the tiramisu! With the first bite, you can tell it’s homemade and literally, it’s phenomenal! Veronica & Carmine are a beautiful, talented couple from a tiny island off Sicily. They both worked in restaurants in New Haven and brought their culinary expertise to Groton. I don’t do restaurant shout outs often, but this one deserves all the business!! Get the word out and go! ❤️”

“We were vacationing in Mystic for a long weekend and Outer Light came recommended as a brewery to stop by in the area and it did not disappoint. Kurt was bartending and was awesome to chat with. I work in the brewing industry in Pennsylvania and was excited to see their set up. He gave me a short tour of the facilities and told me about their brews and cycles. It was a great experience and awesome beers. The vibes were solid, and we had a great time.”

“I found this hidden gem while on a vacation staying in Groton, CT. Awesome atmosphere and I am telling you some amazing food to be served from a bar. I ordered a hot ham and cheese grinder. It was Cinco de Mayo so I drank Margaritas. They were delicious and they had a full liquor bar. The bartender was super nice and personable. They have a lot of Navy and submen patrons due to its to the base. They have TVs and pool tables and a very fun bar atmosphere. Pop in and have some good drinks and food. They also have an outsubmeneating area.”

“My food was delicious. However, I have one suggestion, and an observation. First, back off on the sugar. My beans were sweet, ribs too sweet, the Chinese restaurants around here have taken to adding so much sugar, it doesn’t even taste savory, only sweet. Beef up on the black bean sauce, throw in some hoisin, don’t be afraid to season it. When I go to a Chinese restaurant, I want Chinese food, not Chinese American food. “Chinese” vegetables have practically disappeared off the menu replaced with regular veggies. Where’s the Bok Choi, the bitter melon, the black mushrooms, the closest I can find is a bit of bok choi, bamboo shoots, maybe water chestnuts and that’s it. I don’t want carrots and peas in my fried rice, it’s not right, I want bean sprouts! Ok, back to the review. Good points: hot food, beans perfectly cooked but it said spicy and it wasn’t spicy at all, the Sichuan wonton were supposed to be spicy too. In short, increase seasonings and spices, back off the sugar, and it would be perfect. The food was delivered hot, well packaged and wrapped thoughtfully. Presentation 100%. I will definitely be back to try again.”

“I've always loved going to Jersey Mike's because rheir food is so good but yesterday was different. I ordered online and when I got home after a very long day at work my order was completely wrong. I ordered a number 17 and whatever I got had buffalo sauce which I clearly didn't ask for. when I called they offered for me to go back the same night and they'll remake it but it was late and I didn't want to have to drive all the way back. I was so disappointed because I've never had an issue with them before.”

The food is always great but it’s Kenzies personality..awesome interpersonal skills that makes it even better . When she serves people their food … her delivery is so warm and pleasant it feels like a good friend is waiting on you . I’ll keep coming back 😊👍🏻.”
