“Found this place by accident while waiting for a train, and what a jewel of a find it is. We got there right after it opened and it was quiet, but quickly a few regulars showed up and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. The bartender was nice, funny, and made us feel as welcome as the regulars at the bar too. The decor and just overall vibe was stellar. I can only imagine how great it would be during peak hours with more people and live music. It is on the smaller side, so I can imagine it gets crowded, but that's half the charm of a hole-in-the-wall spot like this“
“The Dutch is a awesome hole in the wall. You would never know this place was here. The place is no bigger than my living room. Great crowd of people and nothing is over 5 bucks on the menu, you can not beat that. If you are in the area you definitely want to give this place a shot.“
“This place is a true old school bar, and a staple of the New London local crowd. I bet more than 50% of the people in this bar at any one time graduated high school in New London and still lives in this town. It's a good place for sports and they do have great food good drinks.“
“Now this is a diamond in the rough! Outstanding atmosphere! I was in the area getting recall repairs. I left my car and just bumped into this place. This warm and comforting establishment where the people are warm and chillaxed! The bartender was/is just well organized and welcoming! Thank you all for great experience!😊“
“This is a treasure. We were in Groton for a few days for work and I had to see this bar in an old Quonset hut. It is nicely renovated with a tiny kitchen at the end of the bar. This reminded me of little bars I used to go to in South Korea so I liked the place immediately. Then a few minutes after we sat down the bartender put upside cups in front of us to indicate we had free drinks when we were ready. Hank had bought a round for the house :-) We couldn't stay for long, but I immediately felt welcome here and will come back as soon as I can!“
“Adult beverages are very good. I recommend the LI Iced Tea. Decent variety of cold bottled beers. Fishers Island Lemonade available. Back deck for the view ront deck good for people and car watching. Only Bar snacks on the menu.Vegetarian options: Cheese quesadillas“
“In New London, near the train, we tried a hot lobster roll, brisket grilled cheese and fish and chips, the food was very good, all of it. We loved the live music and playing corn hole on the water. It's very casual, order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Full bar too.“
“I’ve visited over 20 Chili’s Bar and Grills, and frequent this one often because it is by far the best Chili’s in the state, maybe even the country. I’ve never sat down and not been greeted by a beautiful kind waitress, and about 75% of the time she will refer to me as baby/babygirl/mama/ and I can’t get enough of it. Dining at this establishment has potential to heal a mother wound if visited frequently enough. Food has always been a 10/10 if I’m the DD you’re better off calling an Uber because boy do they know how to salt a rim. All in all, if you’re driving on i95 and see the glowing red pepper in the distance start moving over into the right lane, exit the highway, and at least just pull in the parking lot to absorb the vibe. Anyone writing a poor review of this Chili’s probably just isn’t very attractive and is holding unnecessary anger inside of them.“
“Had the crème brule French toast and eggs Benedict at our Easter brunch and both were outstanding. The ladies of the wait staff worked so well together and made our visit a joy. My husband said that the eggs Benedict were as delicious as those he had at Commanders Palace in New Orleans years ago….complements to the chef!“
