“What a local gem! Okay, it was noisy. it’s a bar style atmosphere, so this isn’t a knock against the place. I have to mention the service. Wow, fast and reliable doesn’t go far enough. The kitchen forgot my bacon. Not a problem, no delay, just quick recovery. This is how mistakes are flipped and guest satisfaction is assured! I had the Point Burger. Cooked to what I asked for, and was tasty. My partner had the wings, and he enjoyed them. We had the potato skins as an appetizer. Again, cooked well. For what The Point is, a local hole in the wall, this place excels! If you find yourself in Montauk, drop by! You too might be pleasantly surprised.“

“Went to this spot on a whim for the first time and we felt like we were regulars with how we were treated. Bruno let us try samples of the menu (the drunken chicken was to die for) and in between working, he was hanging out with us like we've been friends for years. The bartender was also great too and kept us laughing. The daily caught fish was the freshest we've ever had, and the fisherman who caught it was hanging at the bar so it felt like a true farm-to-table experience. We can't wait to get back to Montauk and visit again!“

“Wonderful bar or tavern with some excelled pub grub. I had the scallop sandwich. Delicious. Others in the group had the open tuna sandwich and a pair of hearty looking salads.
I liked it so much that we came back the following day for lunch, but they’re closed on Mondays. In hope to come again one day.“

“Good time but if your party wants to actually cycle or get seats at “the bar” get there early. Otherwise your group risks getting separated by the earlier group - half your group cycling, then the other party cycling, then the other half of your group sitting on containers holding life vests. That was unfortunate.“

“The atmosphere is seaside casual. An open floor plan exists with a nice bar on one side. It’s airy inside with high ceilings. The food and service is always great. The specials are always a delight. Prices are moderate and fair. Portions are generous.“

“We had a Celebration of Life for my father. 33 people in attendance for passed hors d’oeuvres and a buffet. The food and service were fabulous and the setting was stunning, but I felt a little rushed at the end, and there was not enough desert.“

“I went here because of the Rolling Stones song. Expected a little bar, and it is a club for sure. Of course we were too early for that scene, so we played the jukebox and had the dance floor all to ourselves. Omar was helpful and very friendly. Has a blast even though it's not the same place that Mick and Keith hung out at.“

“So impressed with the service at Salivar’s - we took a chance and our big party rolled in with no reservation on a summer Friday night and Mimi at the front desk was so accommodating, offering us several options without batting an eye. We then were sat at a great table and our server Kelsey (along with several other staff members) juggled our chaos with grace. She was so sweet and totally made our night. Food was also delicious, from seafood specials to chicken and burgers to the kids options - we ordered everything on the menu and no one was disappointed. Thank you Salivar’s!!!“
